A couple of suggestions to show your caravan We have recently found out about cars being displayed at Kosmos Kitchen Browns Plains. We have displayed ESKY my Propert a couple of times there. See photos It on a Saturday night and have to get there early as it gets packed As we need two car spaces its not always easy but if a few go we could all park together in a special area. Also Ferry Road diner Gold Coast not as many cars but think parking spots will be easier. I believe Friday night is when they gather there

Propert also made kitchen ware. This is a flour sifter I believe from 1955 now added to the caravan

Hi Vanessa
We hadnt taken ESKY out for a while and couldnt remember what was what.
Those two curved pieces are to prevent it closing. We also have those bolts.
They seem to be an extra bit of security to stop it closing.
The owner before us also made up a sliding screen door
Like the name Penny P that works well Actually its better ESKY is a boy as I already have a very Girly Pink Caravan so Esky will be more masculine !

I know caravans usually get female names but I cant see my Propert Esky having a girls name hence one of the reasons I chose Esky Are male or generic names usually given to Properts? Just curious Also what is the best way to care for the original lino ? Thanks Kathryn

Hi Gordon Yes there are two makers plates thought there were. Originally one under the two front windows and one left hand side of the door. What an awful colour that green was ! We agree will put the plates back as per original site Kathryn

Ok Waterslide Decals never heard of them. Did a bit of a Google search. So my idea is too clean them up , leave the stickers on the orginal ply then get my husband to glue them onto a new long piece of ply and display in Caravan. Re the plate I think now there are two but will have to confirm . Yes I will get him to use slot head screws. This is the original caravan when I bought it and how the plate looked with slot head screws I am deciding whether to put the original plates on the Pink caravan in the same position as the original or whether to display inside the caravan ? One plate is def under the front windows in the centre and think there was one on the left hand side .

Hi Smiles Esky went out tonight for the first time in over 2 years ! I know we are terrible but we had it stored under the house at a property we own. Yes we are in Brisbane. On our way home tonight we took it to a classic car get togther held each Saturday night. People were fascinated by my "Folding caravan" but we left the key at home so couldnt open it up and they could only look in through the windows. Photos attached We also couldnt get to those curved special pieces of wood used to prevent the caravan from closing as they were locked in the caravan so improvised with two pieces of wood we could find. I assume all Properts have those special curved pieces of wood to stop it from collapsing or I think the previous owner may have made them himself. I cant remember now Cheers Kathryn

These 1950's stickers are on the original ply and from the original caravan. Someone oviously stuck them on the wall of the caravan in the 50's In order to preserve them for display in the pink caravan I think the only way is to glue these stickers with the old ply onto a long piece of new board and hang the new board up. Hope that make sense Kathryn
