Hi Deborella56
There are a number who will. Shannons ensures our van, and I know there are others.
Make sure you understand their terms of use: sometimes there are restricted insurances for vintage items - particularly important if you plan to take off and tour around the country!
Cheers Seeshell

My 1959 Coronet is insured by CIL Insurance.
Shannons advised they would only insure for "static display only".

Our 64 Globetrotter is with Shannons, that's covered on the road etc but basically no contents. When i initially rang GIO they suggested CIL.

we went through this little excercise recently and after much headache and bs was told by shannons they will do the caravan IF you have a car, hotrod etc with them BUT... go to CIL, one of their offshoot companies and they will do the van. we did that and was pleasantly surprised with the help, costs etc good luck.

Just don't leave it until you are towing your new van home. Just got the phone bill, $23 talking to GIO who couldn't help me & $17 talking to Shannons

Hi Debborella, My vans are insured with HBA, The only stipulation is that you provide photos inside and out of your van. Also I found that up to $5000 the premium is the same. I have been every-where with my vans no restrictions. Regards Case.

CIL have insured our 1965 viscount for $2000. This covers it (if it is registered) for normal unlimited use and while it is in storage. They would only consider a higher amount if I supplied them with a "valuation certificate"?? (I approached the caravan yards in Geelong and was told that something that old wasn"t worth anything) and photos to verify its condition. Only costs $8 per month for $2000 cover. That'll do us.
