Hi Di, It was wonderful to meet you and put 'faces to names' at Cowra. After our chat I think you had better 'put me down' for the girls only weekend I'll be staying in a cabin (unless something happens in the meantime!) Cheers, Mandy

Hi Mandy,
Yes it was lovely to meet you at Cowra, sorry I couldn't spend more time with you as I was rushing off to follow the convoy to Ilandra Castle.
No worries about booking a cabin at the girls weekend, if you don't have a van by then. As mentioned, it would be good for you to come along and meet some of the crowd and have a few wines etc etc.
As mentioned, I will give you a call once I get back home and we can talk further then.
Regards Diane

Hi Di (and ladies), I've just booked my cabin (still hoping the van turns up before then!) Barbara from the van park has asked that I pass on a "please call and confirm" to anyone attending as they are starting to get busy and she has a few 'pencilled in, but not confirmed" (suspect that means 'deposit'?) Anyway, my work here is done, looking forward to it! Cheers, Mandy (Miss Molly)

Hi All,
Well it's already August - doesn't time fly when you are having fun !!! it will be Christmas before we know it !!!
So as it's now August you will no doubt realise it is just over 4 weeks now until the first "Girls Only" weekend.
I know that this date clashes with an engagement party, so a few of you are unable to attend. But for those of you still interested in going, please contact the caravan park and pay your deposit.
Many thanks Diane
This is the list of attendees that I know of:-
Di (1954homemade) Dianne (Jondi55) Megan (megann) Sharon (Clueless Sharon) Cathie (Smiles) Lisa (magicangellisa) Stacey (the2supremes) Joey (Joey) Mandy (Miss Molly)
Louise - are you still thinking about possibly coming along with Cathie??? Go on, you know you want to !!!! ;D ;D ;D We can crack into the bottle of sherry I bought a few weeks ago!!
Also Tracey (cruisindoug) & Debbie (Stan62) you have both made mention (verbally) about possibly coming along, can you please let me know if you are attending? thanks.

Hello Ladies, I'm in the throws of negotiating terms of ' Special Mummy Time'. Once contractual privileges have been discussed, and formalised l shall be hoping to make my booking. (PS honestly just waiting to see what Des is up to with work) Are we burning bras? I have some awesome padded ones that will be fantastic fire starters. Kel

Hi Kel, Great to hear from you. I do hope you can make it - i'm sure you will. I can just see you now - telling Des that he is staying home for the weekend with Ewan and Maddie and that you are off having fun !!!! ;D ;D ;D Don't think we can have a fire, so you might have trouble burning your bras but i'm sure we can think of something equally feminist !!!! Wow sounds like this is going to be one heck of a weekend. In fact i've just got time to put a write up in the local paper warning the locals that all us funny but slight mad women are going to be in town !!! I better warn BWS to sotck up - big time !!!! Luv Di xx

I hope the sunsets are as lovely as they were in Marochydore. Regarding bras I won't be burning my bra at my age I need all the support I can get. Looking forward to seeing everyone Sharon

Hi All,
Not long now.
Just a quick reminder - if you are planning on coming along and haven't already booked, can you please do so asap.
The caravan park want to start releasing the sites that I have put on hold, so other people (non vint van) can use them.
Many thanks Diane

Hi Girls,
Well I hope you are ready to have a great girls weekend. ;D ;D
Besides all the normal shops, there are 9 charity shops in Caloundra, 2 more a few minutes up the road, The Recycling Centre, 2 weekend markets and no doubt there will be lots of garage sales. So you won't have any excuse not to go shopping.
We have had a couple of ladies drop out, so following is the revised list of attendees.
Di (1954homemade) Dianne (Jondi55) Robyn Sharon (Clueless Sharon) Stacey (the2supremes) Joey (Joey) Mandy (Miss Molly) Kel (Vernon)
I have been unable to contact Lisa (magicangellisa) & Megan (megann), and they haven't made a booking with the caravan park so I am presuming that they are not coming.
I think most of you have my mobile, but if not, please send me a PM and I give it to you.
See you soon
Luv Di

WOW what a weekend. ;D ;D Don't know about the other attendees but I am absolutely exhausted. I think it was the 9 hours of shopping that wore me out, of course nothing to do with the alcohol ;D ;D Thanks girls for a great weekend. I've received a message from the Sunshine Coast Council yesterday thanking us for our monetary injection into the local economy - The Sunshine Coast has now been lifted out of it's economic crisis ;D ;D Mandy, I think (and hope) you enjoyed your first fully fledged weekend away with the Vint Van crowd? You certainly are zany enough to fit in well with the rest of us ;D ;D We will keep our fingers crossed that you find your dream vint van. I think the suggestion has been made to have the next girls weekend in January or February. I will make certain that I get lots of sleep prior to the next weekend. Luv to all Di

Hi Ladies,
Would have to agree with Di there, a huge weekend.
It was wonderful to catch up with everyone as we (family and l haven't) been able to get to much this year, but what a goody to be able to go to. Nice to meet you Mandy, Trish, and Robyn, and of course everyone else. Thinking of high lights: cups of tea in Sharon's van on Sunday morning, all hanging out together in the little sweet 12 footer.
Got my thinking cap on for next event- Woodgate?. (not a lot of shops though ladies, does this matter?)

Hi Kel, Thanks for putting your thinking cap on so quickly. Woodgate - as in up towards Bundy??? To be honest I think that would be too far to go for most of the ladies, especially as some of the girls haven't towed a van at all or only short distances. Not everyone, but the great majority of us are all within about an hour or so of Brisbane., so I think that it might be an idea to try and keep within that range for the first few events and see how things go from there. What do the rest of you think??? Luv Di

Yes, must agree with you Di. I love Woodgate but it is a long way to go for a weekend (especially for a virgin tower!) Somewhere within 1 to 1.5 hours drive would be perfect. :0
