G'day Megann, Thanks for the link. Interesting to see another Ebay seller citing the forum as a source of info about their van. It's happening more and more. Just goes to show that our obsession has some value! Don Ricardo

Now Ray You can hardly blame Don Ricardo for having ancestors with incredible foresight. As for renovations, didn't Don recently repaint the whole van...? Surely that counts. And then there's those lights to deal with... Seeshell

Gee thanks, Roehm. Blast it all over the internet why don't you! I've been sitting quietly (in my van) keeping my dirty little secret (unless anyone happens to read my thread in the Members' Photo Album section, that is) and then BLAM - cover blown! I'll have you know, this very week Dona Ricardo is making new curtains for the van. How much more restoration do you want? ;D ;D ;D You can hardly blame Don Ricardo for having ancestors with incredible foresight. Thank you Seeshell. My sentiments exactly. It's a real responsibility keeping an heirloom in good unrestored condition. Most people wouldn't realise what pressure it puts on one! Don Ricardo ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

Come on Richard. What are you going to do in your retirement? ?? Surely you cant be thinking about doing anything to that supposedly original van (you know, the one that has been repainted dozens of times, had new curtains, taillights changed, etc, etc) Think about the investment value. Leave it to your family as a testament to your good taste. Must be better investment value than a block of land in Rockbank. Buy it and give yourself something to do later. You know you want to.

Hi Don That was some selective editing...you left out the part about sorting out the lights on the back of your heirloom. But clearly Donna Ricardo is bailing you out with the drapery...for now! ;D Cheers Seeshell

What are you going to do in your retirement? ?? ...Buy it and give yourself something to do later. You know you want to. G'day Sportsman1, Are you kidding? If I take on a caravan to restore as a retirement project, Cobber will have my guts for garters! No, I've got another project in mind for retirement, whenever that occurs. A project that is much better suited to my skillset! Unfortunately my practical skills are...how shall we say it?...somewhat undeveloped, especially compared to so many people on this forum. And besides...I'm waiting for another van to come along to keep the heirloom company. Mind you I don't actually know if one still exists, but that's what I'm waiting for... Back to the subject of this thread - the little Don on Ebay is getting some interest... Don Ricardo

Hi everyone, I am also watching this little van, however being in NSW it's hard to judge just on photos alone. Has anyone checked out this van? It sure is a charmer.
