Hi All, I’m looking for a hubcap to match this one from my 1957 Coronet: According to a 1960 sales brochure, Coronet vans were fitted with 6.40x13 Holden wheels. I know I have 13” wheels by the tyres fitted. Not sure if the hubcap is Holden though Hubcap diameter is 242mm at the widest part. Does anyone have an identical hubcap they would be willing to part with? The condition is not too important, as I will need to replate this one anyway. ...or advise the hubcap specification, so I can chase one down elsewhere? Any other suggestions would be appreciated!

Hi guys, i bought an fb hubcap as a spare for my van recently, they're hard to find, when i got it home I noticed it was heavier than another I had. The wrecker I purchased it from informed me that Franklin, Viscount and other brands of caravan in the early '60s had a deal with GMH to reproduce the FB holden hubcap. Apparently the lighter ones were produced specifically for caravans. FB Holden hubcaps are the only holden hubcap produced without any GMH identification. This is why they were a popular choice for caravan manufacturers. Apparently all FB hubcaps are the same, differing only in weight. Cheers, Dave.

As far as i am aware as with FE FC some hubcaps, i think originals are made from steel and the lighter ones are alluminium/alloy ones that are a more retro fit. Remember that Holden dealers carried numerous spares including hubcaps for most early models well in too the late sixties and early seventies. I doubt that GMH had any deal as such with a caravan producer? Way to low volume for a big company, especially when they had their own spare parts brand in NASCO. Brett
