Hi Ally and welcome to the forum, especially your intro to your VV. Will be interested to hear the story.
I used to have an early 80's Viscount that had those coloured stripes, but the front of yours doesn't resemble any Viscounts we have on record. Will be interessting to hear and see what others think.
More pics may also help.
Cheers

Hi, And thx for the welcome Well my great little shed find actually contains 2 vans!! When i pulled up the usual happens I gracefully leave the car.....?? the kids jump out, followed very closely by the dogs & then our newly found kitten....& the people as usual look like they don't know what just hit them!!!! CAuse they probly don't LOL but these people were obviously use to this as they didn't seem perturbed at all an elderly couple who i later find have children, grand children and the menagerie, just NOT a mobile one!!! ANyway i express my interest quite boldly in their vans, Without trying to sound like i had been casing their joint for weeks & they gladly showed their pride and joy off, saying they haven't used it for years n years, only for storage. WEll what a beauty!! Been a real flash girl in her day, with buttoned horse shoe lounge, fancy cupboards & one of those slide along fancy smancy privacy screens in the bedroom!!! whoa, thinking they'll be wanting a packet for this little hum dinger... It is a vicount & has these cool as, bend around corner windows in the front...lived under this shed for ever!!! WE have taken over!!! dogs , cats kids n kaboodle on tractors, mowers, boats, in canoes... Shit i feel like i've been here an eternity. I want to go home, pour a red and wind down... ;D THESE people i think are going to need counciling & therapy after our visit!! But they keep reassuring me ,.saying "your such a lovely girl", the kids are fine! I can't help but to keep trying to talk about the little van but they turn the conversation continuely away from the other van & the more i keep looking at it the more curious i'm getting cause it was the the one i was mostly interested in. As we headed over, when they took a sharp turn into the first shed!!! whoops where are we going? as a overshot the turn, and they mumble something about thats the old piece of junk ,that one luv. They mentioned a price, and i thought wow i can't accept that but then i thought, maybe it is my turn to have a good turn done& this was it!!! As we were leaving..i thought this is my last chance!!! WOOPS wrong way,(i turned on purpose) & there she was. My shreeks of excitement i think may of changed their mind about me, cause they seems bedazzled how the hell i'm more excited over this pile of JUNK as they call it compared to their ole pride n joy Viscount. WHAT DO WANT FOR IT, i demanded like a skitso with a personality disorder? they looked at each other laughed are you kidding? you can have it! save us pushing into the gully.. "I nearly pee'd my pants HAVE IT?? can i take it now i asked...pleeese. BY now i am sure they thought i needed admitting to a phyciatric ward but obliginly put it on. I gave them a deposit for the other one and drove off into the sunset... Here is pic of the back too, i just wish i new what it was? On the chassis is welded 507 and an A scratched in? It has been painted a 1000 times & originally by the look had a deep V in a orange at the front to seperate a 2 tone paint job i think. Those stripes are just from the last paint job, along with a red, a blue a cream,l that's just few LOL Thx Ally

No need to start another thread, just continue with your previous one, unless you have a new topic. Confusion will reign otherwise ;D ;D

Hi Hpprchik,
There's probably a few of us trying to work out what your van may be. There's a bit of a bell ringing in my head, but I haven't come up with the answer yet.
It may help if you can tell us what state you are in. That may assist us to narrow down the possibilities a bit. In the days of vintage caravans, a large majority of van manufacturers used to sell pretty largely only within their state market, and as a result there is a still a strong tendency for vans to be found in the state in which they were built. It's not 100% accurate, but it happens often enough to be a hint.
Picking up Roehm's comment to you re not starting a new thread, he is correct - multiple threads on the one topic do get confusing. So...I've merged your second thread in with the first. Hope that's OK?

Hi Hipprchik,
Thanks for that extra info. From that I'm thinking that your van is either built in Queensland or NSW. It has a NSW look about it, so I'll focus on that for a bit.
The relatively narrow front and back windows are pretty distinctive and that's what's ringing a bit of a bell for me.
Thinking, thinking, thinking...

I love the interior of your van hippychik.......and very envious of your combi to tow it with! It IS exciting when you have discovered something you can donate your energy/passion towards....and THIS IS the place to share your journey. So keep posting those updates. These guys are knowledgeable, generous with their time and will help you with advice on anything you ask of them! I should know....I drove them batty twelve months ago when I redid my vv & I still throw a few curly questions at em!! I sincerely hope you find out what you have....I still really don't know what mine is but it has not for a moment stopped my blinding love for my vv!
