Have been trolling this forum for the last few days, have found masses of intresting stuff, Whilst i do not yet own a vintage van, I am in the process of purchasing one, (1950's teardrop) It is in Adelaide and i am in Brisbane, but thats another story....... anyway i hope to be a regular reader if not contributor to the forum, My user name might give you a clue as to the tow vehicle..... ;D And Im hoping to have to whole outfit ready for the road to make it to Bathurst next Xmas/ new year I have ( hopefully) attatched a pic of the van i have found, unknown make at this stage, but from what i have found out, its very similar to Sportsmans of the era... any thoughts welcome, also sugestions how to get it from Adelaide to Brisbane are even more welcome

Hi Humpy, You could always get it road worthy with help from oldfarts or me and drive down. Then have a night or 2 with us at the Tanunda vintage caravan weekend ( 17-19 feb) on your way home. Oldfarts offer is a good one too. Strange isnt it that he is getting a van from half way to you and yours comes from his backyard! Good luck with it . Oh by the way. I have a pair of proper teardrop mudguards if you want to replace those trailer ones. I could put them in the van for the trip home perhaps. Beetles
