Mr Noble (noblesgarage), that Sunliner you own is just bewdiful Where did you find that You must have some VERY good contacts to be able to locate a caravan as good and original as that in Victoria, ..........especially when you live in Perth ;D ;D ;D Sunliners pop up everywhere .....being fibreglass, they've well & truly stood the test of time, but rarely do we see an example as original as the one you purchased . I'm not a fan of Sunliners, coz they were waaaay to modern for their time, and thru my eyes lack the character of caravans of their era, ........but they certainly have now made a big impact on the vintage caravan scene, and are highly sought after. So many are done up with modern fabrics and colour schemes, they lose any real connection with being an old caravan....... but this example is just supurb: check out it's interior Lyneth & Larry. When you hit Merredin ( a huge wheatbelt town on the GEH about 300 kms east of Perth), chuck a left and head to a one dog one shop one horse one pub town called Bruce Rock, .......follow the signs to a lil place called Quairading ........then head to Beverley (chuck a lefty at Mawson). Drop the Sunliner off at the big green shed (no, its not the Beverley Bunnings store : ........the shed is the home of the Best Vintage Caravan Museum in ............well ...........er .............Beverley Just tell Noble it got trashed on the Nullabour by .........er .......... one of those big things Kingy drives ;D ;D

Hilldweller, morticia is actually the name of a van that L & L are going to collect from WA. They did a deal with Nobles to collect and deliver his sunliner(purchased in Vic and now accom for them on route to WA!) and Nobles has collected and is storing the morticia van for them in turn. I believe the morticia van has exterior handles which are off a coffin fitted to it!! hence the name. I saw the sunny when in moyhu at Lazzas a few weeks back and it is indeed a beautiful original van. With Nobles "holding all the aces" though(morticia that is) ;D ;D the beverly bandit may have to resort to a roadside holdup to get it off L and L in order to add that one to the collection at beverly. ;D regards jennison

First fuel stop Well here we are. Day two. Certainly have had challenges in the first 24hrs and the next fixing them. Waeco power pack - Gawn! Gas Line blockage Lighting problems Generator upset Onya Lazza all solved today The Sunny, now she is riding so well, forget she is on behind. A guy at the showers said to Lazza today - "see you have hatched out of your egg" haha. Lots of interest and conversations so far along the way. So with S/W Grange and VB "in stock", we head off tomorrow for Port Augusta. The "Bago" is our $320K support vehicle, so being sure we will be okay from here, we will say farewell to Dot and Mal for now. Time for lunch and a cuppa tucked up in Mildura

Day 4 - A good day - no problems - good roads - sunny just rolling along behind. Tucked up in Port Augusta where we will do a wheel bearing check before crossing the paddock possibly while throwing back a couple of SW Grange. We hit the South Australian border Fruit Fly stop - quarantine officer searched the White egg for fruit - only found some bird seed which turned out to be a bit of sand! Arriving into Porth Augusta

Just wondering why you're doing all that work BEFORE bringing her over from the FAAARRRRR side?

Hi Fab Four, Man can you guys hoon. What you have done in four days took us months. What a great van when we saw it for sale thought to ourselves however by the time we got along a little further she had already been sold. That's what happens. Beaut van, can't wait to see what you have done with the room. Safe trip home. Hope to catch up at Canungra to tell us about the pros and cons to crossing the middle. We're doing it next year. Cheers Des and Kel
