Ive seen that some vans have perspex windows. I am up to getting glass cut for jellybean then thought perspex might be better ,cheaper and lighter if nothing else. The problem is it would scratch easy. What do you think we should use for a 50s Bondy. Cheers John.

Hi there John
I think that polycarbonate is pretty good too (after all they do use it for aircraft windows) and is a bit more scratch resistant. Compared with glass, if a stone is thrown up, no cracked window on the road.
Polycarbonate is not dear, and easy to cut at home, and a bit more robust that perspex. People do complain about them getting cloudy over time, but if you use the right cleaner that never happens and they stay crystal clear. You can get the right cleaner at good car shops (often used for cleaning rear plastic windows on soft tops) or from a local aircraft supplier if you have a light airport near you.
Just my penny's worth! Seeshell
