Hi all It's that time again to spend a pleasant weekend at Kendall's on the Beach at Kiama. The dates are Friday 16th September - Sunday 18th September. We phoned the park this morning and have put a booking in for the sites for that weekend. If you are interested please let us know and we will give the park firm bookings in two weeks, deposits are not required and dogs are allowed on leads etc. The following is a site map of the park: We have pre-booked sites 48-53 plus 55, 56, 63 and 64 which are all powered grass sites and there is lots of room for "fivsies". We can also have 66-69 which are unpowered sites if we need them. (Sites 47, 54 and 65 are not available due to top dressing.) The red heart means that the site has already been allocated. The powered sites are $30/night and the we have arranged for a late checkout of 12:00 midday instead of 10:00 am. It is a beautiful park on the beach and very close to all of Kiama's attractions, including The Lighthouse, the Blowhole and Little Blowhole and Jamberoo Village and Minamurra Falls are very close by. It is not necessary to pay a deposit or contact the park, please reply here or by PM nominating your preferred site, first in best dressed. We have selected site 55 for the "Annex of Ill Repute". The following sites have been taken, 48 Vacant49 Vacant50 Vacant51 Cobber 52 Vacant53 Colin & Sue 55 Geoff & Jude 56 Marvin 63 Richard & Linda 64 Griffin If you plan on staying a few days either side of the weekend please let us know this info as well so we can inform the park. Why not have a look at the website to see how good this park is? Hope to see you there. Geoff & Jude

hi all we've got 8 starters for kendall's so far with room for more if needed. ;D ;D ;D i'll be contacting the park tomorrow morning to let them know what the current status is and whether we should or shouldn't reserve more of the sites for our group. if you are thinking of going to kiama for the weekend and haven't let us know yet, please contact us so we can let the van park know what's going on. thanks, geoff 'n jude

hi all
just thought we'd give this thread a bump.
still got a couple of powered sites held on reserve, but we won't be able to hold onto them much longer.
if you're thinking of joining the group for the weekend, you'd better let us know soon or we'll lose the spots.

hi all you kendall's goers.
i've just been on the blower to pam at kendall's and she's asked if you could contact her and put down one night's deposit ($30) to confirm your spot in september. i've given her your forum names as a reference.
the phone number is 4232 1790.
thanks,
geoff 'n jude
ps - for those still thinking about it, there's still a couple of powered spots reserved until next saturday.

hi all
back home after a very small but also very good time at kendall's.
only four of us there, cobber and yvonne, colin and sue, alan and jenny and us.
with only the four of us, it was a great opportunity to just sit around and take it easy and get to know each other a bit better.
we forgot to pack the camera, so we'll have to rely on cobber to show any pics.

Hi Geoff and Jude + all tyhe other Kendallites Dunno weather you experienced the same brilliant weather we had in in Newy over the weekend ... but if it was half as good at Kendalls beach then you would have to be happy. As time goes on i feel that some of the smaller get togethers are more memorable than the big gatherings of the vintage van group. As you have stated You get time to socialise with everyone better. You dont feel as if you have to "spread yourself around" and get to visit people at the other end of the park before the end of the weekend. Yup....size doesnt matter ... its the quality time spent with good friends that does matter. Look forward to a few happy snaps. Regards Reddo

Gee golly I didn't really realise I was the only one with a camera so I haven't got any candid camera shots It was a small gathering and there were a few cancellations for various reasons but it wouldn't have been because of the venue or the weather which were both superb..... as was the company . I was a bit upset that the Lincoln Continental didn't show up, but we did cruise the main street of Kiama in the big blue Ford V8 checking out chicks on the way to get prawns from the co-op . Our tour guide (Geoff) took Yvonne and me on the “coastal walk” to the “little Blowhole” and further on to have a look at “Easts Beach”............. all very nice and relaxed . Here is one photo to show firefighter we did fly “The Flag” And another of the marvellous “Marvin” We returned home on Sunday via Jamberoo...Albion Park up the Illawarra Hwy with the old grey motor purring like a kitten to Robertson “KENDALL'S ON THE BEACH” …...... TOP SPOT, everybody should go there at least once in their vintage caravan lifetime . Cobber.
