I started pulling the old van apart and found lots of dead things under the floor Started replacing the rotted out ply in the corners and bracing pine(from a previous rough rebuild) with meranti and spotted gum( leftover flooring) Started building the bracing for the table and chairs and for a pair of single beds at the back, so there will be 2 singles instead of a small double ;D What I want to know is??? What height is the timber seat base for the dining table usually at? Checked the dining table seats in the house and they were 450mm off the floor without cushions, should this be the height of the bases plus a 100mm for the foam in the caravan( used a old stool and a can of paint to sit on for a trial and seem to be looking out the front window at this level ;D Is the bed bases also at this height

Yes ;D ;D ;D ;D OK OK more info. In the Olympic the original height of the lounge and beds was..... Wait for it....... 250mm I couldn't believe how low the damn things were. So lifted them to 450mm and put 75mm cushions on. Very happy with the added storage space and the height now is definitely better. Maybe we need to see some photos of your rebuild? ;D ;D ;D Cheers Atog
