I haven't forgotten Rod, who started this thread but your post and the photos you posted have gone We'd like to see if you got those screws sorted out on your tea towel rail, how about re-posting the photos ?
It is Interesting ( and sad ) to note that the Forum Guidelines have only had 2700 lookers and this tea towel thread has had over 12500 lookers, so it's entertaining somebody

Just to encourage folk to post on this thread, who might think their tea towel rail/hook/holder is not up to the high standard set by previous posts here, I offer this example of what is acceptable (nothing snobbish or high brow about this thread, sorry Rod ) A fairly primitive tea towel holder in a fairly primitive 1940s caravan. Just in case you think it isn't a tea towel holder here is proof positive Cobber.

(nothing snobbish or high brow about this thread, sorry Rod ) You got that right Cobber. All forms of mechanisms capable of holding a tea towel are welcome, nay , encouraged Rod

It looks as though this thread has fizzled out again so Some of us have seen tea towel holders used inappropriately sometimes So I think it is fair to use hosiery dryers to hold tea towels sometimes So there..... that shows how desperate this thread is for contributions, show us your tea towel rail, holder, hook, whatever Cobber.

Here is our tea towel rail in or 53 Bondwood. It is a plastic coated oldy and I have sprayed it with some chrome paint. Screwed in under the lip of the dining table.

Y'all going to think this is funny, I started this thread many many years ago, got busted for a while and some of my threads were sadly deleted, but, now I have another van and I really am LOOKING FOR A TEA TOWEL RAIL Rod

I don't think it's funny Rod, I think it's sad that the bloke responsible for starting this informative tea towel rail thread is reduced to using the thread to find a tea towel rail for his own use Now, you wouldn't be wanting a plain ordinary modern sort of tea towel rail would you ? So I hunted around for something a bit different for you. This one is beautiful.... A blokes tea towel rail. Another one for the handy man. It looks simple but..... how does it work ? For the girls, if we paint it pink ( not sure I can say that these days ) Cobber.

This came in a mixed basket at a clearing sale. Took me a little while to figure it out (well Mr SGTL knew what it was). Probably lovingly made by someone at school for their mother

Another tea towel rail. This one has a blue plastic coating. It was up extremely high, right next to a gas light. At some stage the plastic has been melted by the light. It would be good if I could replace the coating with a similar product. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I remember fondly the very start of this thread, lots of photos of all things tea towel. I was asked if I had a camera screwed to my head ( Slot head screws of course) because of the photos I posted back in the day. I am glad to see the thread is still alive Might have to see what I can focus my new Cannon EOS camera on... Dave

Dave, nobody remembers it more fondly that me. I started this thread in Feb 2011. Sadly the comments are a bit cockeyed near the beginning because for unknown reasons all of my posts were deleted Damn shame. Rod
