Hi everyone, I have finally entered the long awaited world of V Vs, after making a purchase yesterday and now I'm in need of a tow bar for an FX Holden, to get her home. Any suggestions on the best way to go ?? I've been searching for some time now for a second hand tow bar, but without much luck, so if anyone out there may know of someone who has one for sale, to suit a 1951 FX(48) Holden and/or 1955 FJ Holden (not sure if they are different, other than the rear springs are narrower on FX), would be appreciated or is it best to have one made to order, in which case, any recommendations ?
Regards, Tom

Hi Tom I just scored a towbar for an FJ ute off ebay for $30. Just beware that the sedan bars are different to a commercial towbar. Sdan bars should be a lot more common than ute/ panelvan towbars.. Good luck with the search Regards Reddo

Hi Maurie, yeah, the FX is getting a new front end put in, with bigger brakes to make sure it stops with the extra load. Re the caravan, I got scamed on the one I bought in December (the one we discussed at the NRMA Motorfest), but I finally got all my money back and have since bought another one (a little 10 foot Globetrotter), so will have to be on my knees most of the time. Anyway, will let you know once it's at Castle Hill.
Cheers, Tom
