Sorry...don't want to bore you all too much with my vv but I promised Seeshells some shots of the lino she put me onto.....so here they are plus a couple more whilst I negotiated photobucket successfully! And under the table with the caulking to fill the gap between seat & floor! The patch of brown is from tape which I am having the devil of a time trying to remove!!! I think the lino had been at Mac's for quite some time before I bought it!! More things have appeared from shed where some of the retro gear was packed..... i1116.photobucket.com/albums/k563/jenniewren2011/100_1130.jpg[/IMG] A dreaded join because I was a tiny bit short - at the doorway but it looks ok.......& under the table I had to cover with alum strip also! I didn't show the stove last time I don't think! Is that a shelf there Al? My goodness...it is a shelf complete with spice containers!!! Guess I don't need to worry about THAT anymore!! It is only held there with tape to see what it looked like....bit afraid to use the liquid nails but shall do that this weekend.....that's it....won't post any more till we hit the road....maybe...if y'all nice to me & you have been...cheerio J

Hi Jennie, The mark on your lino might be removed with a magic block from the supermarket. It is in the cleaning isle near the scourers/sponges. If that doesn't work goo remover or white spirit might get it off. Cheers, Joey

Hey JW Looking real nice The mark may be removed by using citrus cleaner. Does a good job on most things.
Cheers Atog

Ah Jenni - it looks lovely!
As a chemist, I'll say that "like dissolves like". So to remove tape residue, oil is best. Put Eucalyptus oil or WD40 (my preference) on the affected area, and let it settle in. Rub with a clean rag and it should come off easily.
You may want to then wash the area with a bit of soapy water to get rid of any residue once it is loose/dissolved.
Cheers Seeshell

Jenni, you have done a great job with your van. I love the colours you have chosen. Memorabilia looks great and it is fun going on the hunt for bit and pieces to go with your van. Now it is time to enjoy your hard work. Mrs. Smiley

Thanks guys........happy with it all. Hoping to take off for a few days next week seeing as we have that plate now firmly attached to the vv's tail-end! WD40 eh? Have that....didn't want anything too harsh...the tape must have been there for a very long time....far out...it just won't budge! Shall try it this w/end...in between working that is!!!! Colour match is perfect isn't it Seeshells? At least I thought so! It is actually a commercial grade lino. J

Hi Jenni It really is perfect - and to think you hated that counter top. If you can't fix it, baby, feature it. You might have to let the WD40 soak in a bit have a rub, and repeat if it's been on for a good long while. But it will come off. Commercial lino is excellent isnt it? And of course no risk you're going to drop a fork and poke a hole in it....it should see us all off. Cheers Seeshell

Seeshells - still hate that bland grey counter top! One day I will change it to motley grey or red 50's laminate retro 50's table when I find one to cut up! But it is ok for now!
Stevenm - I was going to ditch it cause it had a crack on the top but managed to glue it all back together & it works. Once again with the help & advice of the guys on the forum. Get a bit splattered if I pump too furiously! And wouldn't want to be dying of thirst to fill up your cup! But it's the coolest pump to look at!
Trub73 - Thanks - "Ruby-Rose" will come up just as good don't worry....amazing what a coat of paint does! And anything would have looked better than "pink" & lace curtains and mortuary grey walls with bright pink c'bd's, yellow material cushions...what the?...what were they thinking! Chose the cushion col first then matched the paint for c/b'ds.....the big green shed mixed the paint for me......just go for it! J
