Hi rose, Once you pick the main colour it all seems to fall together. Elona(retro64) is really good a picking colours, if you need some inspiration. I love rainbows, but I had to rein it in a bit to keep Banno happy too. I am going to have a wild hippy retro bright rainbow van one day, I promise. Rainbows rule, Joey

Gidday Rose, don't worry about the windows till you get the van home. There is plenty to do before you really need to worry about them yet. Just sit back and enjoy the ride, it's going to be Fun Fun Fun.

I did look underneath and it appeared quite sound but I wouldn't tow it anyway....not even to my place 25ks away. Trailer or truck is the only way to go.

The interior cupboards are painted in the harlequin colours to give you an indication in your colour scheme.

Whoo hoo my uncle johny went and saw Kevin today ( the previouse owner of the sunny) & I am the proud new owner of a 1960 something neglected sunliner that I haven't even seen!!! Anyways what's for you won't go past you and I'm obviously meant to own this sunny and learn how to restore her to b our family van just for fun !! Now to choose a name, how I'm going to tow her all the way back home ( first time towing too ) , what will b my first job on a long list of many and to learn how to do all these skills for the first time Thinking I might b going a little mad as i am defending my sanity to everyone who might b doubting I can do this oh well with all the knowledge on here I'm sure I can prove them all wrong ??

Hi Rose. The best way to pick up that van is to hire a trailer for a week (about $300) from a servo. The trailer type you need should have next to no sides on it.......if the sides are too high they will foul the van as you bring it up, also you need a trailer with a winch. I will try and find the trailer hire mob with the right equipment. I would not tow a van without at least a full mechanical checkout of that age. Consider you would need to tow it ......a new set of wheels and tyres, about $300, a towing permit and pink slip, about $35, a light board about $30-50, ..........the trailer is starting to look good value. We did that to pick up Janorma and enjoyed the trip too.

Snapper 81 We are the people who have the Sunliner for sale on the FE/FC Forum. It is also on this vintagecaravans.proboards.com site under For Sale/Wanted. It is at the end of page 2 - listed as Sunliner for sale - updated with photos. We have been giving serious thought to the sale price because we have just bought another van and therefore have dropped the price to $10,500 (originally $12000). We can be contacted on email in the first instance franceswhite@activ8.net.au.
