Excellent day out. Great variety of cars and the caravans were constantly being checked out. Good turnout from our gang with a couple of new tow cars making the trip. Lisa in the Vauxhall and Sharon and Steve in their Zephyr. We took our new 1950s homemade bondwood 8ft van. We kept it quiet to surprise everyone. It needs a tidy up but it is still usable as is. We will post some pics soon. John and Dianne

We certainly turned a few heads with our vans today amongst the many other quality cars on display. I had a frustrating start to the day with both the Sunbeam and Hilman not starting but eventually they came good and that was the only hiccup to a great day. Plenty of people through the vans and several potential new members asking about the group after seeing the VV .com stickers on the cars and vans, some of these already VV owners. Jon and Di presented "Jellybean" to the group and I can vouch for the hours they have spent preparing their suprise baby van. Good to see the pommy tow car brigade growing with my Hillman Hunter, Steve and Sharon's Zephyr and Lisa's Vauxhall. Rollydog

Com on Dossee the ones with cameras were rock N rollin to late last night so piccies will roll this afternoon.
Actually I left at 6.30pm and heard the fireworks from home at 9pm. All I need to do now is knock down the trees across the road and i could actually see them as well.
Overall it was a good social event for us where we had time to chat in our group & with others interested in Vintage vans and view some great cars from classics to muscle cars to hot rods to a stunning sunbeam. ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

Oh! I must have missed you all... Got there late in the afternoon (without our van) and met Lisa, saw the lovely little jellybean, but missed everyone else - must have been dancing already by the time I got there! Was great to see all the vans "in real life" though and hope to make it to the next SEQ gathering ;d

What a great day and the largest turn out of vehicles I've seen there. Someone was claiming over 350 vehicles on display. Didn't take a lot of photos but here is what I have Very nice Chev Tudor painted in Cherry Black This Cadillac convertible was Cheryl's favorite Don't often see an international at these shows Cute little Ford Thames Van I liked this Dodge photo of the group

Neil I definately missed a lot of cars on the weekend as I didn't see any of those in your photos apart from our group and my mate's green Hudson Super Wasp in the pic. But then again there were so many cars to see and socialising with people you only catch up with at shows like this. Great day out though and I think we had a pretty good position for the vans. Feedback from hot rodders that John knows was that the VV was the highlight for them. They enjoyed the change to just cars, so that was good.
