Looks like a bit of a damp weekend at the Prom but I am sure we will all have a good time anyway.
I think the count is up to 9 with a friend of ours coming as well.
Looking forward to seeing you all there, we wont be there until late Friday.
Cheers, Leigh.

Hi Winterwood and Dave01,
Thanks for the pics of the Prom run (and probably thanks to Lilian too for the photos Dave posted - just guessing...)
Looks like a great gathering and plenty of time to relax and chat.
I'm interested in the van with the 'Looz-a-bago' sign on the front and back. Can anyone enlighten me as to what kind of van it is (ie manufacturer)? I don't recall seeing it on any Vic runs before, or have I just forgotten it?

Hi DR,
I believe it is a home made van, superbly restored by Ralphndi.
It was at Cora Lynn last year.

Blairgowrie agaaaaaaiiiiiiiinnnnnnnnn? Surely we need a venue that will give us a change in scenery and is a little closer to Oldfarts, how about Tootgarook instead. ;D ;D Karon and I are heading over to Tassie with the teardrop for Easter, we were taking the Vagabond but as I have just had an operation it looks like it will be towed by the Corolla instead. Also we have booked our Melbourne Cup Weekend away at a terrific little park on the banks of a river in the King Valley. We have tentitively arranged a few sites for the vvers as well on a first in basis. More on this shortly when a few details are to hand. I personally would like to head North somewhere for an Autumn/Winter run and was thinking of up in the Rushworth area, perhaps for Queens birthday weekend. Any takers/interest in this or anyone else got any ideas? I am sure all have some other ideas than mine. Perhaps a weekend at the John family collection ;D ;D ;D Cheers, Leigh.

Leigh,
Which little park in the King Valley are you referring to? I can think of a couple of North Eastern types who might like to drop in and say g'day. Might just have a van by then as well. As we all know there a plenty of delightful spots around the North East for an old van to stay...
Does anyone know who owns the Roadhaven pictured above?

Hi Leigh, I am still hoping to arrange a V V display at an event in the first weekend of November. Maybe you and whoever else meets up with you can stay a few more days in the King Valley, then make your way down in time for the display on the next weekend if it all comes off? Just an idea... Hi Richard,
The Cup this year is on the first of November. I assume your display is on the following weekend which is the 5th and 6th. That weekend should be good for me, hopefully anyone who wants to travel to Victoria for the Cup weekend event could stay on for the following weekend as well. I am sure we can put some folks up and entertain them in the interim.
Martin, we have booked in to the little park at Jamieson. Hope to be able to post up details later today. Keep an eye on here.
Leigh.

...doesn't appear to be.....now you know why we keep heading to NSW.... ;D....maybe you should try and take in Reddo's tour in Oct., you won't have a better time anywhere ....starts low down on the coast this year and finishes up at Coledale , you could go to CoraLynn and head off from there up to meet the tour on the following weekend. Could even make a mini tour of our own if anyone is keen enough....any takers?

Worth a thought thanks Col.
I was looking at a weekend escape and as I am driving over to Perth in January and the nationals a bit later in the year having some more time off work might be a bit tricky.
Cheers, Leigh.

Just recieved a reminder for being slack at not logging in, so a guilty Vic in this thread! Not sure what where you need to find in VIC but there is plenty, with the chance of being shown to be too late, there is next year: www.camperdowncruise.com/camperdown-cruise-2011.htmfor a starter...
