My Late 60's van has a broken drum. Where would I start looking for one? I went to Melbourne trailers but no luck. It is Holden HT stud pattern but the off set is very different. Any ideas? ?? The van is a Fiesta Mildura. Only seen one other on the net. Kelvin

G'day Kelvin, what might be a good idea is to put on some detailed pictures of the drum , so folks can see what it looks like.....you never know what people have stashed away, also include specifics like the diameter, offset ,I.D. of the hole where the hub sits, and anything else that will serve to positively identify it .You might find something like the aftermarket heavy duty drums that PBR used to make may be able to be machined to suit your application.......cheers, Col.

G'day Kelvin, your drum isn't the same as any of the Holden factory drums , they all have a seperate hub and the drum slides over the studs and is secured by the wheel. So yours, having an integral hub and drum, would be something specially cast by the trailer/caravan manufacturer , and is probably going to be a bit hard to find. Best chance is if someone on here has an old axle with the same drums , but failing that.....you could get an engineering shop to push the drum back into shape and tack weld it together to hold the shape , then get a foundry to cast a couple of new ones for you ,then have them machined to size. Down side of that is it will probably cost much more than it would to get a new axle and brakes from a caravan specialist , just depends on what is important to you ,original style or a new replacement axle assembly.....good luck , Col.

Thanks Col, It's looking very much like a new axle.

All is fixed. I managed to find one in Seaford. The guy was replacing an axle on a van because he couldnt get parts for it anymore. It just happened to be the same as mine. Im very very happy.
