Hi,
We are just starting the thread for the Millmerran Qld Easter Event. The club that is organising this weekend is Rods Incorporated and the event application will be out soon and we will attach the form to this thread.
All bookings will be sent to Rods Incorporated as they are organising all of the accomodation, cabins, van sites, tent sites and dinner event. It is all on the event application. All of the onsite cabins have been booked already so there is no onsite accomodation available.
It is a great weekend and lots of fun, laughs, great people, lots of food.
There is a show and shine on Saturday morning in the main street.
This event is only a four day event.

I'm keen, but what's the dates for easter this year? Would I be right in saying it's just before Anzac day and does that make it a 5 dayer? Are we keen on the same area as last year? I'm happy enough to be there.

Hey Andrew. It goes from the 22nd to 25th of April. I reckon we had a good spot last year on the "back straight". Good posi to sit and watch all the cruisers going by. One thought I had was maybe we could have our own Saturday night gig in the park. Last year we all got dressed up ready to party but the auction dragged on so long everyone sort of lost the mood... Just an idea. Dont want to upset the organisers though because they do an excellent job otherwise. We will be there for sure. Cheers John and Dianne.

Hi Andrew,
The attachment is too big to attach to the forum. If you or anybody else requires a application form, just send us your email address by pm and I will send you the attachment.
The contact people for the Millmerran Easter Hot Rod Run are - Roland Enquiries - 0429 877802, Norma - Accomodation - 0408 198 247.

I just spoke to Norma, she was curious as to how many of the vintage van crowd were keen on attending the run. Last years entrants have had a registration form sent out to them and entries are now flooding in. She was a little concerned about trying to place everyone together again and suggested get in early. I'm going to put "put me with the rest of the old van mob" on the entry form. She thought at this stage we might be a little further down the back straight from last years possie. Never mind I say, lets just make ther most of a good weekend.

Hi Everyone,
As to Andrew's comment, this is why we have posted this event early as we know it is booking up really quickly as it was a very good event, lots of laughs, like minded people to enjoy ourselves.
Can everyone who is really interested ,please send us your email address and then I can send you the Millmerran form asap and then return it asap to Norma (accomodation) contact for the Easter Weekend (not Vintage Caravan Forum contact).

Gday DI, I've paid for dinner Sat night and put my note on top of the form saying whack me in with the old van mob. I should be posting it off tomorrow. It'll be a great week end, looking forward to it.

Thanks Andrew, Di and John for your replies. I will also book dinner then. One more question Is everyone going home on Monday 25th or is anyone staying on the Monday night aswell, bearing in mind that Tuesday 26th is also a public holiday? ? I asked Norma and she said it's ok to stay on longer - at the same rate of $20 per night. Regards Di

Not exactly sure what the go is for the Sat night dinner Stan & Debbie, last year they picked us up and dropped us off in a bus. We went into town to a hall of some sort that was big enough to seat us all. (close enough to walk though if you wanted to) Di I've booked Fri, Sat & Sun nights.

The meal was worth the money and the auction helps subsidise the run and also help charities in town Last time we walked back to the caravan park(not far). Staying on Monday night sounds good too . John

Thanks guys
Ok, we will stay on the Monday night aswell. It's pointless rushing home if we don't have to.

Just got my registration form back, am on site 22, which probably puts me next to the 5 star rodders from Toowoomba if they're going to be in the same spot as last year.

Hi, we got our registration form back too and we're on site 19, which as odd as it seems is next to site 22, so it looks like we're your neighbours on one side Andrew.
