:-[A vintage lesson is what we have just learnt. We have come to realise that our standard of OK is not necessarily others. A very long drive (day and half) each way to come home without a van (oh well). We have decided to make our search area a lot smaller and will do a lot more homework before putting wheels in motion. Had a great drive through some of our beautiful Australia though.

From what I've seen most of the older vans will be in ....... shall we say "Well used" condition.
Set your standards low and you won't be disappointed. Our van was supposedly in reasonable condition The musty smell was because it had been closed up for so long..... ;D ;D ;D Wasn't until much later that I found the orange fungus growing in the front cupboard..... no joke... there was a fungus that had been growing there long enough to be extending out from the wood.
Also have a look at my van if you wish.... but it took a couple of years to get it up to a decent state.
Older vans mean work.... even if it is in good order you will still want to make it your own..... more work.
It's all part of the vintage van experience.
Go with the flow and you will enjoy the experience.
Cheers Atog

Hi Smiley, must agree with Atog all old vans need more work than you think when you first look at them i know ours did, but pay a fair price and you will enjoy the expirence. By the way welcome to the forum. Cheers Sharpie.
