Hello, we are thiking of buying the little 1950's Bondwood van on ebay but it is unregistered. As we need to transport it from Mildura to Adelaide we were wondering if Transit Registration for the trip is possible? Also would annyone have an idea about tow weights for such a van, we are novices and dont want to get caught not being able to pull something from our V6 sedan! Thanks so much for your help sajg

Others could probably help more but if you allowed 1000kg for a 12 foot or smaller van you would be safe I imagine, ball weight is another story. In most cases you can get an unregistered permit from the state you start in that will cover the whole trip. Both Kia and Caddilac make V6 sedans so you might need to be a little more descriptive there

Hi, I have recently purchased a 14 foot bondwood van in Adelaide and 14 cwt was recorded on the old reg. disc. This converts to approx. 711 kgs. I towed mine with a 94 Ford with ease. I believe an unreg. vehicle permit from Victoria will cover you to get it home to Adelaide. Hope this has been of some help, good luck. Bob
