Hi All
While at Coledalen 2006 getogether i co-ordinated a raffle to help raise money for the upkeep of this fabulous site.
Mark has asked for cash contributions in the past and we have always responded to his call.
I figured that Coledale would be a pefect opportunity to raise a few bucks .
Everyone who attended ( 31 vans)donated a raffle prize which we set up a display of on the back of my ute on Saturday morning. After a short time we soon realised we needed more space than the ute could offer. Chippydave shot off and came back on his pushy with a table.
By 10.00am we had about 50 or so prizes on offer.
Footy shirts , bottles of scotch, BBQs, champagne, car calanders and models, just tons of really great donations.
I cant remember everything on the table but we all know what we weighed in
Joel , Trish and i kept an eye on the goodies , ticket sales and the cash until 5.00pm and then shut up shop.
Took the goodies upstairs in the surf club and set it all back out on tables.
I would like thank everyone who contributed to and brought tickets in the raffle.
Also congrats to the winners and commiserations to those who missed out on taking home a prize.
I was pretty impressed with the $344.50 raised by 5.00pm
However i found that due to the demand for more tickets. i had to to shoot back to our van and retrieve grab more tickets to keep the gamblers happy.
So Mark the final tally for the website fundraiser raffle was a GRAND TOTAL OF $419.50.
I have given the bucket of bucks to Will and Lynn to bring home to Perth with them.
Hopefully that should keep the wheels of this great forum well oiled for a while.
Your sincerely
