Received these photos from a friend who understands it is a 1946 Chev. Can anyone please verify this? Evidently its home is on the Mornington Peninsula, just outside Melbourne. I'll try and get some more information if anyone is interested. Max

Hi, Received these photos from a friend who understands it is a 1946 Chev. Can anyone please verify this? .....yep..'tis. Chevy used the same style from '42-'47,civvy production resumed in '46 ,so could be '46 or '47.....if it matters, easy way to tell is have a look at the side window glass and find the "armourplate" etching, above that word there will be a tiny dot above one of the letters.....count the letters from the A,the number is the year of manufacture. Pays to check a few on the panes of glass just in case one has been replaced.....cheers, Col.
