G'day Humpty2
I used AUTOTRANS to bring a car from Brisbane to Wodonga Vic, they dropped it off at TyrePower at a specific address for a roadworthy for me, cost $452, very good service.

HI Humpty I used Ceva Logistics in Sydney, but phone them direct as I learnt afterwoods that there is a company in QLD that is a agent for them, the lady was the rudeust person I have ever come across... and it would have been 200 bucks cheaper just to ring Ceva Logistics themselves. Ceva were fantastic to deal with direct and no damge at all to my car, so that was a bonus. The only thing is you carnt pack luggage or anything and the car has to be roadworthy, hope this helps Kaz

Thanks for that Kaz. The ummmmmm "car" ;D ;D is coming by CEVA Transport. We had no problems dealing with them and their price was the best. Only by a couple of dollars, was recommended by 2 other friends also. Door to door $756.24.

I've frequently used Ceva Logistics, and there "car care" is excellent .............. BUT BEWARE!! Recently I phoned for a quote to freight my Chev Biscayne from Melbourne to Perth .......quote $2274 ..........what the F??? Reason for it being soooo expensive was because the length of the Chev exceeds 5 metres. It measures 5.27 m x 1.95 m I argued the point that if they park a hyundai in front of the Chev, the total length of two cars was much less than 10 metres, .......but nup .......too bad .........price $2274 Phoned another car carrier ...........same deal !! Left it for a week, and thinking I'd get a different operator, tried again ................$2274 mmmmm .......not happy Jan Next week, got the measurements off the net for my Statesman Caprice ................5.193m x 1.847m On the phone to Ceva ......" Good morning, I would like to freight my Statesman from Melbourne to Perth ....would you give me a quote please" .......................quote given $1137 ......exactly half the price . ......... " and I also want to freight my Chev Biscayne to Perth please" ........................quote $2274 mmmm ..............can I speak to the manager please ............ The manager admitted that they charge double for Chevs, or any classic car exceeding 5 metres ..............but of course, on this occasion only, he would do me a special deal and freight the Chev for $1137. GOTYA !!!!!!! ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D Mark Statesman 5.183m x 1.847m .......$1137 Melbourne to Perth Chev Biscayne 5.27m x 1.95m .....$2274 Melbourne to Perth

Ceva Logistics 1954 F100 - 4.7m X 1.9m X 1.9 Pick up from home address in Perth to Perth depot Perth Depot to Perth Rail depot Rail depot to Adelaide Rail depot Pick up at Adelaide rail depot road trans to SYDNEY ... $1098. From the above you can see that the vehicle might get loaded/ unloaded a few times..... and the staff at each depot might not take as much care when moving it about as you or i would. Mind you the F100 arrived in unscathed .... but missing the second battery from it cradle in the rear deck I made in enquirys ?? Sorry sir.. we cant help in regards to that issue For the cost of another battery it Wasnt worth persuing after it had been through so many hands. The bit that really concerned me was that the thief had left the 2 battery leads dangling in the battery box... the power was still feeding the positive lead. I drove the car home from Sydney... if the leads had touched it would have caused a dead short and cooked the electrics or set fire to the truck Reddo

Thanks for that info guys, the sender has taken about 13 photos of the car prior to loading incase of any damage disputes. Thank god I've only got 1 battery The car leaves Adelaide Friday morning. Why does everyone assume it's a Chrysler product because it's coming from Adelaide?.........but then it ...could be. ;D ;D ;D
