Is anyone organising this annual event? I note from the WA Calendar of events that it is proposed for 4th - 7th June Discussion over the past weekend indicated to me that it MIGHT be on the last weekend of May and MIGHT be in Harvey........ I am happy to organise this important weekend on our calendar, but need to know a definite date and location. Daggsey

the daggy one, just a thought, what about going to bunbury? pete and trish [ex sth east qld ] vv'ners manage a caravan park down there now and i presume they could look after us $ wise. it would also be good to involve them and welcome them to the wa fold. ;D ;D just a thought.

G'day loveshack, Apparently the venue and date for this run was discussed and voted on at Albany at last year's Spring Tour (i.e. last weekend in May, Harvey). As both yourself and moi were absent, it is probably a bit late and will be considered out of order to be suggesting an alternative venue at this late stage.........whilst I agree with your sentiments re pete n trish and your proposed venue, I think we should just go with the flow........maybe a separate run to Bunbury in the future could be discussed Having said all that, it would be good to know if anyone is actually organising the Harvey run and if the caravan park and pub have been contacted??? Happy to do so myself, but need to hear from those with the original proposal Daggsey

WA VV Vanners, from my recollection the Trev Roberts memorial run was to be held in Harvey in 2010 and those present at the Spring Tour meeting thought a good idea, not sure if it was assumed that we should flog Harvey to death ,We have an abundandance of locations to salute and remember Trev in all ways so why not use some of our great locations to get members together travel. Our small group relies on the same people to organize our runs and due to the Nth,east, and south locations of members it is important to try and keep this in perspective. Daggy & I resolved (I think) after a day of celebration at Brookton to to try and put some some spark into our events progamme. M.T's responce that that he dosen't care or organize anything made our job a little easier to take on the task. As the Trev Roberts run approaches we have some options, ie leave as is at Harvey or look at some other options, we are looking at a theme night at Quindanning with the vans set up at on the oval with amenities and walking distance to the pub. We also want to put together another 2010 Spring tour with the help of Greg , Jo , Dave ,Pat Daggsy & My self. Would appreciate any info to VV vanners not on the forum so we can pass the message onto. We look forward to your responces to crank VV vanning in W.A. Regards Snail

Hi All, We didn't have the pleasure of knowing Trevor but would sure like to be part of his memorial run. We are running Bunbury Village and would certainly look after the group but I have yet to see many parts of WA so anywhere sounds good. Due to work commitments we would appreciate as much warning on dates as you can give us.
Cheers Trish & Pete

The Brookton Motor Show and Hot Rod Nationals in Busselton has given me the opportunity to catch up with a good percentage of the WA VV group and with Daggy, we have come up with this plan for the Trevor Roberts Memorial Run. As per our events calander it will remain on the 4th to 7th June. Destination Quindanning, a central meeting place for all our group, city ites can come via Williams and go home via Pinjarra.and us Sou Westers will make our way thru the scenic wheatbelt area. Quindanning uses there popular race track for caravanners .Whilst they have no powered sites as such , there are points around the facilities to plug into.
Guys and dolls showers and toilets, bar and kitchen for our use. Will & Lynn have agreed to do the big band thing, although the pub advised that they have entertainer on Sat and I'm working with the manager on that. The race track is about 3klm from the pub and the pub is about 50klm from the nearest police station , you work it out. Sunday lunch and run to to the popular Jess Martin collection on Martins Road Williams is always a good look. THIS EVENT WILL ONLY WORK WITH YOUR CO-OPERATION AND CONFIRMATION VIA THE WEB OR CONTACTING ME ON 0418 928 455 OR DAGGY ON 0428611800. MANAGEMENT AT THE HOTEL NEEDS NUMBERS FOR MEALS AND BOOKINGS AT THE RACE TRACK. YOUR EARLY RESPONCE IS REQUESTED . LETS MAKE THIS A BIG ONE. SNAIL

Hi Jodel,
Thanks for the pics and the run down on the Trevor Roberts Run. I always enjoy hearing about these events (and seeing the evidence) and I'm sure I'm not alone in that.
Sounds like there were a few "incidents" for some of the participants - yellow stickers, caravans insisting on going their own way, big ends, broken windscreens? - but I trust that everybody had a great time despite everything.
