Hi Gordon, You're right, little door is for annexe poles, goes right across the back.Van only has an awning though.Tv is very hard to watch with my failing eyesight!Van is allegedly 1957 model, but I cant find any proof anywhere about that unfortunatly!Looks more like about 1962 to me. Cheers Hughdeani

Hi Hughdeani, What a great little van - it looks fantastic. I checked out what it was like when you bought it here - what a transformation! Did you come across any clues as to its make or origin while you were doing the makeover? Don Ricardo

G'day Hughdeani, That 'van has come up very nicely both inside and outside. I think I can see the unique historical "Rice tow coupling" still attached.... that's good Cobber.

G'day Hughdeani, It was actually your "Rice" coupling that started the thread on that brand of coupling and I /we only know what people contribute to the thread..... sorry I think the coupling we see on 'vans probably are those that were designed for the horse trailers Rice started making after 1938 and are still making today. Rice company in the UK have a web site where they offer to help owners identify their horse float so they can order spare parts..... I reckon if you sent them a photo of your coupling they could tell you when it was made.... doesn't tell you when the 'van was made but it is a start aye ? click here.See the "Rice" thread in DHL here.Cobber.

The colours u have used inside really go great with the exterior. You must have put a lot of thought into it and its turned out great. Very very nice, Is the little red box on the bedside table a mini TV?
