Hi, VV nutters, I'm hoping this one will get your adrenalin pumping and that eventually you will introduce me to the right retro restoration junky prepared to spill the blood, sweat and tears necessary to bring what I believe you call a 'woody' back to life.
The right person needs to be looking for a project and have the desire and know-how to rebuild a 1953 3 berth, 5cwt, Supalite wee-kenda.
This VV is located in northern Sydney and has been with the one family since new. Although garaged under cover for much of its life, it has unfortunately been exposed to all weather in recent years and has suffered accordingly.
To a layman there is a lot of life left in this VV but an experienced eye will soon identify the extent of the damage.
Yes, it will need to be trucked to a new home but that is part of the challenge, is it not.
So, if I am not being too presumptuous I am hoping you will all be as enthusiastic as I am about keeping this VV alive and will be prepared as a group to nominate one of your peers to act on your behalf to assess its potential for restoration and then nominate the lucky nutter or nutters who should be given the opportunity to acquire it.
I look forward to your thoughts on this subject.

G'day Supalite, Welcome to the forum and thanks for letting us know about this "Supalite". Keeping old caravans alive is what most of us do get excited about.... you bet If you don't have a photo of this particular "Supalite" have a look at the 'vans in this thread in our Down History Lane forum and point us to the one that looks like the one you have. If you can let us know what suburb in Northern Sydney the 'van is somebody close by may put their hand up to have a look at it. Cobber.

Thank you for your comments Cobber,
I would say Mel's 54 supalite is close to the mark but if you look at the advertisement in your reply number 6 dated February 15, 2008 that is it to a tee....small wheels/ no wheel arch/ two portholes at front.
Location... the easiest description is near the Sydney Adventist Hospital off the Comenarra at Wahroonga.
Cheers, Supalite.

Sorry Kingy.
Although the van is reasonably close to the freeway at Hornsby I have prior engagements today and am unable to meet with you on your way to Woy Woy. Hopefully we can arrange something else at another time. Thank you for your interest.
