Home again after another great Vintage Caravan rally. We traveled to the Mt. Via Dubbo, West Wylong, Tocumwal (Christies museum), Bendigo, Castlemaine (the Restorers Barn), Ballarat and Warrnambool where we met up with the “Meander Mob”. Our leisurely return trip after leaving the Mt.on Thursday was via the Great Ocean Road, Healesville, Alexandra, Benalla, Wangaratta, Albury........ and then the foot went down and we got home with two more overnight stops along the Hume Hwy.
A total of 2262 miles (3639 kms), 484 ltr fuel..... 21 MPG (13.32 ltr/100k) and a 110% trouble free performance from the old FJ and Ol' 36.
Have picked up some info on “Expandavans” and a couple of “for sale” items that I will post after I have cut the grass.
As always it was great to put faces to names and get to know people better.
Cobber.

Gday Cobber, Good to be able to meet you and I want to say thank you for bringing old '36 along, it was awesome to be able to see her first hand. When I saw you pull into camp at Warnabool in the FJ and the '36 I said "that's the best example of a classic aussie vintage vanning set up you'll ever see" - and I hope to see you and the van and FJ again to say it again soon. Great to hear you had a trouble free trip! Cheers, Gristy
