Hi All,
Well Boots & I decided to go for a Qld trip, after having some discussions about a new years eve party at Nindigully in SW Qld.
So we left home in pouring rain on the 20th December, heading for relo's in Brisbane. Rained all the way.
Set off next morning for Bargara near Bundaberg, & stayed at Beachfront Caravan Park. Its an old park, with small sites. We stayed until Boxing Day, & had Christmas with Boots sister & family.
Set of for inland, & travelled out thru Childers, Murgon, & lots of little towns , & stopped at Kingaroy. Lots of rain while we were travelling, & poured down when we stopped driving.
Next day off to Chinchilla, & stayed at a real nice little caravan park opposite the town swimming pool. Caught up with Andrew ( Smut57) & his daughter. He gave us a christmas lights tour in his LHD 57 Chev Coupe, & it was an interesting ride for Boots in the front seat.
Next day drove to Roma. Really hot day, & not real good highways out there. Long, straight, flat & bumpy. Arrived & camped overnight. Roma didnt seem to have a blade of grass in the town except in the parks ( I suppose they were irrigated), its so dry. But as always it started raining soon after we arrived.
It was so hot that the natives were feeling it
Boots wasnt happy with this guy walking around near our caravan site.
Next morning off thru Surat & St George to our destination of Nindigully.

Set up as it started raining again, then proceeded to rain on & off for the four days we were there.
Santa 28A rocked in next day, & stayed next to us as planned.
New years eve was different, as the bush boys & girls really know how to party, especially in the wet.
There were enormous crowds, but nearly all left by new years day midday, when they had a UTE show, with Aggro as guest judge. Havent found the link to their website photos yet, but I'll post it when I find it.
Drove home in the rain, thru Goondiwindi, then stopped for lunch in Yetman. This is the only Daggsey style pix I took all trip.
Stayed overnight in a motel in Tenterfield to get out of the rain, then home next day.
Nearly 3000 KMs in a fortnight, & 75% in the rain.
It was a great trip
