How about the weekend of 10 and 11 July? i think it is the last w/e of the school holidays (for what it worth, Xmass is about kids after all ). Do you want me to book a park? Should we start a new post thread? Dragonfly Dave

G'day Dragonfly,
Probably a good idea to start a new thread to get an idea of numbers etc.
I certainly don't have a problem with having a get together during school holidays, however, there maybe limited places left and it makes for a better time if we're all grouped together which might be difficult?
Any ideas as far as caravan parks/camp sites go are welcome. (The last time I went to Halls Gap, Santa gave me a billy cart. I'm now 33!) So I don't know where to start! Always keen to get away with like minded folk!
Cheers,
John

Its OK if you can,t make the weekend. after all it is winter and the snow is comming. We will be there anyway but without the tear drop. (too cold to camp outside), The park has offered us free fire drums and i will bring some wood. if you do come, bring someone warm to cuddle into. (and i dont mean the dog) Dragonfly Dave

Well ! Timming is everything. We had the caravan loaded up with Xmass cheer. All the raindeer were fed and we were set to go for the Grampions. Then Friday night the big blow came through our place and distroyed part of our roof. BUGGER, Sorry all who went not to find us there. Good news is only minamal damage which the insurance said will be fixed next week. Dragonfly Dave

Hi,
Have you guys got anything happening around Christmas this year??.
We are going to be at Coburg before & after Christmas, & wondered if anyhting might be happening that we could attend??
We are travelling down inland, & arrive 19th Dec at Big 4 Coburg, & stay till 27th, then travelling back home by coast road.
While we have a lot of time committments with family at Coburg, I'm always happy to bump into Forum members.
0416 280027 generally finds me

Hi JBJ,
Unfortunately our Victorian pre-Christmas V V get together is scheduled for Saturday, 11 December, so it's before you arrive down here. However, if by some chance your plans change and you are here by the 11th you can be assured that you and Boots will be our honoured guests.
Otherwise, maybe we can organise something else in addition so that the two of you can meet some of the Victorian V V crew. It's a tricky time of year for almost everyone as you well know, but let's see what we can pull together... Ideas everyone?

Going to be difficult to get any time between the 19th and the 27th Dennis.
We are going away for the weekend of the 19th and 20th but will probably be able to get back for a late afternoon or evening do on the 20th (Sunday)
Perhaps a barby on the Sunday night somewhere if that fits in with you.
Leigh.

Thanks Guys for the replies.
I'd love to catch up with a few of you, as I havent been down south since MT Gambier a couple of years back. At this stage we are opting to tow Lucille with Red (The CL Valiant) because of the comfort factor, and because we are taking a few days travelling down & back, it doesnt matter if we travel a bit more leisurely.
