Hi all. Well it`s been one helluva few weeks as i was stood down for a month.Being employed on a casual basis meant no work, no pay.So was feeling pretty glum to say the least.Nudging 60 doesn`t help either. This past week saw me back on deck & with xmas around the corner it was a welcome relief to say the least. Just had an inspection this morning. Agent has given the nod to stay on in the place i`ve been renting for the past 7 years.Phew! Ever tried to 'hide' 5 box trailers? Poor neighbours didn`t know they 'owned' a trailer.Nothing like seeing five trailers sitting on front lawns in adjoining properties. Ha,what a hoot. As for the Td,won`t be doing anything with it till after xmas. Well i guess that`s `bout all i got to say other than looking forward to being back here too. cheers

Hi Gordon,
Sometimes you wonder why life deals you the crap. But as long as you can hold your head up & smile, its still bearable.
All the best in the future

Thanks guys. Ironically its the "you ok mate?" w/e here. So yeah, i am ok. Just wasn`t expecting or needing what happened. Better news from the agent who phoned back after the inspection to say that i can now seek some one to share the house. That will certainly ease the outgoings. We`ll see how things go. cheers

Hi Dave. Looks like you got some cleaning up to do also. Last Friday being as hot as Hades, i decided to leave the kitchen window 1/3 open. Got ali roller blinds giving shade to both the kitchen & 1st bedroom which face the street. Sometime around 3pm a storm come thru with 90klm wind howling.Snapped the cords, blinds rolled up,rain blew in. Come home to find 20ft of water soaked carpet (length of kitchen). Not to mention stuff on the shelves.Ever tried lifting wet carpet? Ended up dragging it outside & chucking into a trailer. Lucky it was my own piece i`d put down over the lino.Made mopping the floor easy.Only had to add detergent to the floor. ha. At least it looked good for this mornings inspection! Hope your `van didn`t suffer badly without windows. Don`t you hate picking up broken glass? Always found i`d missed a piece innitially. But later on bare footed i`d find it. ouch/damn etc. Hope you can get your `van under cover. cheers gordon
