I'm excited While I was cleaning up the draw bar yesterday I worked with the thought of maybe finding a number stamped somewhere. Looking, looking, looking. Nothing anywhere I could see. Oh well, not many Clippers built, obviously not numbered. I whizzed the grinder along underneath the draw bar and felt some lumpy bits near the front and thought to myself I must get underneath and get that stuff off. When I laid down and looked up I could not believe my eyes, there staring back at me was the chassis number in welded digits 2 inches high and an inch wide. And the number is ?? 369. How on earth I had never noticed it before is beyond me. What were we saying last week f/f about hearing and eyesight tests. All 2 of you other Clipper owners better go and check underneath the drawbar up the front to see if yours has a number there. cheers, Leigh.

I had a look yesterday, found nothing Haven't wire brushed it yet but there isn't a great deal of paint on the draw bar so I think it'd probably be visible anyway. Oh well, thanks for the lead anyway Leigh!

Bad luck Freeway,
judging by the size of mine you would have no problem seeing it if it was there.
Come on Harriet, yours would be a similar age to mine. I await your search with anticipation.
Cheers, Leigh.
