Just to confirm that Koala will be at Munmorah - without the better half as she is working that weekend. If work is quiet I plan to leave Canberra early friday arvo to arrive at Munmorah just when the camp fire has died down to a nice glow. Looking forward to seeing you all again.

Onya ken We can have a quiet yarn about 30s chevs. ;D. Every year we have a run up around Lake Macquarie on the saturday. leave camp around 10 ish and do a 60 mile loop the lake. back by around 3 ish. This tour usually involves a shed visit. Last year we ended up at "The shed of Invention" and then on down to a blokes shed at Wyee.. some very nice cars stashed away in his shed.. see munmorah 2007 for pixs of a massive big black caddy. Would be good if ya can do a lap with us and pass judgement on the 1939 Chev sloper i have just purchased. Will be good to catch up with you again. Bring a bag of firewood if ya can fit it in somewhere. Hasnt got to be a lot .. but every little bit helps . See ya there Reddo Reddo

Geoff & Jude & all you Munmorahites, I really truly wish the Steam rally and Munmorah dates didn't clash..... I went to Munmorah last year, and I'll probably go to Munmorah next year, if I don't get expelled from the club for doing something different this year . I don't think Munmorah is in danger of fizzling...... but, while you're there....... having fun..... just think of me, sitting at Menangle, all by me self, mumbling to me self, trying to introduce some new people to the joys of vintage caravaning... all by me self . I'll take some pictures of me self and show 'em to you after the event cobber.

Trodler my young friend, There is a thread devoted to the steam rally @ vintagecaravans.proboards30.com/index.cgi?board=runevent1&action=display&thread=561&page=1I will get there around 8.30 am Saturday and camp there that night, as will many other folk. Vintage cars (FE /FC & Jag. Clubs & a couple of others I think) will turn up on Sunday, you can choose either one or both days, the organisers are very flexible and accommodating. Your company will be appreciated, you bet . Cobber.

Hi All, Had a call from Colin & Sue earlier wondering if we were all going to get together for dinner again on the Saturday night , before the serious drinking starts by the campfire. ;D ;D ;D We've decided to take stuff we can cook up at the camp kitchen, it is a good way of getting everyone together. We should arrive lunch time Friday - if our navigator doesn't get us lost again See ya all real soon Jude & Geoff

Hi Jude and Geoff.. or Geoff and Jude .. 20 metres.... yup.. 20 metres. Thats all the difference is between cooking and eating in your van or eating at the camp kitchen BBQ area. Still eat the same cuisine.. snags , eggs etc Still prepared in the same manner.. tongs and egg flip Only thing i can add is that we cook about 5.oo ish so we can get things over and done , cleaned up and back around the fire before the sun completely dissapears and the night air makes its presence felt. Count me n Trish in the kitchen nosh pit.. Reddo and SWMBO

Hi all, We are taking Friday and Monday off, so we will hopefully be there about lunchtime on Friday. ;D ;D Our friends Chris and Bill will also be travelling up around the same time. Count us in for the get together dinner on Saturday. We'll attack the wood pile at home tonight and see what we can come up with. Life's been somewhat tuff since Mount Gambier, I can't wait to have a break !!! Regards Di & Al

Hi all,
Looks like "Lady Madonna" will be Meandering to Munmorah ;D ;D. Weren't sure where we'd be by then, but it's looking pretty good for a trip south of Newcastle to represent the west coast at this event.
Looking forward to catching up with you all.

Oh what I'd do to have a sing and hubby play guitar around that campfire....one day sooner rather that later I hope ! Is that a dunny seat on the card table in front of Reddo's Matilda??? Dave and I play all the classics, Eagle Rock, Sweet Home Alabama, Creedence etc etc. Usually there is a song in there that someone likes. I think when we have fixed the Globe and Hawthorn up we will signwrite "Leather and Lace" ...our duo name, onto the vans! Hope everyone has a ball....GREAT PICS!!!!!!!!!

Hey Daggsey,
Thanks for the photos. How good is that - 'real time pics' (well almost) from our reporter on the spot! Fantastic - even if it does evoke strong "wish I was there" feelings!
Good to see some well known faces, vans and vehicles in the pics - and that Geoff 'n Jude decided to place their faith in the 'old Ford' rather than the 'new Ford' this time. ;D ;D ;D
Some new vans and faces as well. I love the colour scheme on the little red, white and blue (red, grey and blue?) van behind the EH panel van - looks terrific. I don't think I recall seeing that one before on the forum. Can you tell us any more about it?
Nice to see a P76 on an outing as well.
Have fun you lot.
Don Ricardo
