Once again I probably lost it in the translation!! 1940 it must be! The chrysler was apparently owned originally by a certain well known QLD premier at one stage but when you see its the photos of condition prior to resto, it is a great credit to Albert the current owner(and restorer)

My god, I came across an amazing chrysler today. A 1957 chrysler Imperial coupe - must be the biggest 2 door ever built short of a mac truck! 490 cubic inch , twin 4 barrels and more flash luxury fittings than on a new car!! Camera was playing up on the phone but I hope some photos made it thru to DonR. It was in Alberts(mentioned above and owner of paramount brochure) workshop. What an incredible car. Olfarts wait till you see this!!!!! jennison

Your welcome Uncle Dave ;D According to the Chrysler nutters, the 57 began with single headlights, with dual being an option and later in the same year, dual were standard. Something to do with tooling costs. I still thing the 56 was the best of them. Cheers, Ron

Sorry for the delay lads, I had to wait to transfer the pics from my phone to my laptop at work today before I could upload them. But here they are: And for good measure here is a pic of an HR panel van that Jennison sent me on Friday labelled "Nice tow car for three hundred dollars". Can't say you don't get your money's worth at the Jennison Car Mart, even if you're just window shopping... ;D ;D ;D Don Ricardo

Couldn,t believe it with the HR. A fellow bus driver was busdriving and saw it inside an opened garage door in a house just 8 or 9 doors up from my mums place. Popped back during his break and picked it up from original owner for $300goddamnit!!!!! Not driven for over 10 years with running 202 motor and complete with original papers and original 179 motor thrown in(needing recon). Rego required only relatively minor brake fix, number plate bulb and tyres-threw his FB/EK rims/tyres/hubcaps on for the moment to get her thru, gave her a quick polish and there she is. What a bargain and what a rare old beast - not many old original commercials around in this condition!! HOW DID I MISS IT SO CLOSE TO HOME??!!#*#*#*#*#*#*# PS As I said was having phonecam problems with the chrysler . I will go back for some better shots tue or wed
