Sorry Geoff, I sat on my site ALONE on Sunday morning from 7.30 until 11.30. I had sold about $20 worth for the morning so I spent until 1.00 packing up and then left. Karon arrived up there late on Friday (after I set up), apparently spent all day Saturday talking to blokes but she said she had sold hardly anything all day and did not mention having talked to anyone apart from John. Not sure how that all worked. She did not come over at all on Sunday, said something about having to go home early for some work thing? Now you got me wondering about who those blokes were. I think it is karma after I went to Cora Lynn by myself. Sorry I did not get to the hearing tests Geoff. Come to think of it perhaps I also need my eyes tested, I did not see the sign either. I will ask Karon about getting to the Christmas get together, perhaps I will tell her there will be blokes there. ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D Cheers, Leigh.

The Swap meet day was roasting & you couldn't pick any steel up without getting burnt fingers, I mentioned to a couple of sellers their good were hot but it was lost on a few. It was good to meet all who were there from the VV forum & have a chat at the FC Cafe at 2.30. Great that Mark was there, also had a good chat with Geoff (firefighter), others I will sort out eventually, we didn't have much time, but thanks for the list of those who were there. Found some contacts for bits & pieces, also found some things for the Don. I spoke to one bloke who said there is a 1920's Don with a red badge, close to Gembrook, the owner is a FC/FB enthusiast, I have a feeling this has been discussed here before This old trailer is for sale, has 16" wheels, Cled Davies 03 54433432.or daviescled@hotmail.com Some good lenses for the clearance light, & 3 handles suitable for the entry door, key & cyl. That was all I scrounged at the Swap, the rest of the stuff I got on Monday in Bendigo at Brennans Timber Yard, 2 acres of 2nd hand building material,renovatorswarehouse.com.au I could hardly believe my eyes when the bloke there brought these little beauties out, these impossible to find catches. I couldn't fit the lot in the photos so cut them out of the doors. .............noooo, only joking ;D ;D, but this is what they did with a power saw at the warehouse at some time & had them sitting in a drawer. So now I really can make the new kitchen in the 120 look original. It was a great weekend for me. Surf Tragic

Hi Guys, My mate and I had a ball at the swap meet and will have to come back next year and drink more beer with all you friendly mexicans and take heaps of money off you guys again . We drove out of Sydney at 7.30am on Friday towing my little yellow pop up camper and arrived late arvo to hot and dusty conditions which immediately needed some refreshing beverages. After many it was off to the pub in a cab to see poobah .Cabbed it back home and didnt go to bed till midnight . Woke up very slow at 5.30am saturday then was attacked by all these mexicans all day giving us money.Got that hot that when it was over we went to maccas just to get out of the heat and get a feed and enjoyed the air conditioner for 45 mins. Couldnt walk properly from all the cash weighing down my wallet. Bought some tooheys from the thirsty camel and went to bed around 11.00pm. Got attacked with more customers on Sunday morning and even sold my camper to some bloke from Daylesford.Quickly made a cupper in it got all my clothes and food out before he paid cash and towed it away at 8.30am . Sat on the hill till 11am with no caravan then threw all our junk in the car and drove back to Sydney without towing a van ;D ;D and the airconditioner on all the way in the hot conditions and got home just after 8pm . I had a great time and met many nice people that mainly book a swap site just as a base and party. On the Sunday the 3 sites on either side of me had left and didnt trade as there more in it for the social scene, one guy just threw a handful of things on the ground to sell and could care less if he sold them he just slept all day as long as he had his usual spot. Im looking forward to next year already, also loved the old victorian cars that were driving around and all the victorian custom rat rods. Cheers Dave

Sorry I missed you Dave,but perhaps I didn't.
I was walking around early Sunday morning and was looking at some stuff that was next to a little yellow fold out camper.
I overheard the guys talking and it sounded like a car had been sold. Paperwork was being made out and the buyer said that he did not have his licence with him.
Sound familiar?
