look for a mint green 1956 ford victoria 2 door and a 1967 ford red galaxie coupe both left hand drive, and you will see a dark blue 1959 ford mainline ute that a mate is driving around which is also mine

Cool, thanks Sutcac. Will check what's on at work and might come along for a look. Have been looking for an excuse to go back to Porpunka with the van, this could be it. Thanks for the info. Cheers, John

We managed some hours on the Saturday, standing on the medium strip with rods & cars parading within inches of us, an endless stream of magnificient machines, some loud, the vibrations felt right through your chest & body, some throbbing quietly past, enough fumes for all who attended, if you went there for a fix, you weren't dissapointed.. Someone said there were 1000;s of rods, I caught sight of Sutcac in his ute at a distance, waited in vain to catch him on the way back but never saw him again. ST

had a ball of a time, and saw many vintage vans been towed around by heaps of hot rods, the weather was very hot,it made cruising at night very good

The owner of the roadhaven is a friend of mine who wishes to remain anonymous. he is not a forum member so his van is seldom seen...He purchased it off the original owner about 15 yrs ago and has used it sparingly since, it retains all its original fittings, fridge tiles, lights etc ..its condition is fantastic....its year somewhere between 1959 and1962. dave
