I have always been a bit apprehensive about driving in city traffic with period tail lamps on my Vin Van. So before I headed off to Rat Day on Fathers Day in the big smoke of Sydney I though I would kill two birds with one stone and see what could fit in the way of a third brake light. My Bondy had sprung a leak above the rear windows when at wintersun back in June and as I had to remove the "eyebrow' above the rear window to fix the leak I thought about fitting a third brake light while it was off. Now obviously having taken the poxy narva trailer lamps off and replacing them with 49 Chevy sedan units ( turned upside down) I did not want the third brake light to stand out like dogs balls when not illuminated Sooooooooo............ this it what i came up with..... this is what it looked like to start with then I removed the "eyebrow" then cut out a section to fit an LED spoiler light. Now obviously with the "eyebrow" painted red it is not visible until the lamp is illuminated. This is a common LED Spoiler lamp that costs about $40 and is also available in clear so that you could also make it "disappear" on a white background as well Regards, Steve.
