Hi Chris Thats a top idea. I hope i am still around home when ya post the piccys. I am out of here around friday lunchtime. Its eating me up knowing they are out there cruising and i am stuck in thie hell hole at work. .. Keep tellin myself... One more day, one more day. The good news for Adelaide is there is a cool change heading through early to mid next week. temps are expected to drop from 40 to 38 . for a day .. then back up to 40. If that keeps up i will buy a inflatable kids pool at Mt G and sleep in it full of water at night Spare a thought for the WA Mob travelling across the Nullabour in thier old cars, towing old vans in 40 deg heat Hiya Clyde.. or is that zane grey.. Fresh flathead ...Its mans natural instinct to hunt . and sitting down to a feed of fresh fish that you have caught yourself is always very rewarding . You where lucky to score that Generator. They are getting thin on the ground nowadays. That may have been the problem all along. I remember you twiddling the reg box on the odd occasion during the east coast tour last year . I will give you or JBJ a call today and get a roving, raving report on the meanderers progress. Until then , stay cool, stay safe Reddontheroadagainjustcantwaitagetontheroadagain ;D

Reddo, I'm usually at work around 6am and don't bother doing any for at least 2 hours, so will endeavour to put them up early for you.
Check this space before you go mid morning at the latest.
PS check my maps too (separate post in general), you may need them! Cheers Chris

Okily Dokily Campers, I trundled down the Peninsula last night in my Flying Standard 8 Tourer on a mission to retrieve Fish n Chips and to pop in and say hi to the intrepid travellers heading west to the Mount and give the old girl a run (nice warm 30 ish as the sun started to sink) As i knew the Prince of Plywood was champing at the bit to get moving, I took the following shots as a taster for those of you that didn't get to go. (and to torment him) As you'd expect, all very nice people, but with so many names to remember, compounded by a mix of real and forum ID's, i can't recall everyone I met. Reddo, mate, the fibreglass mob outnumbered the mobile trees! I took a passenger along as well, he took one look at the vans and said "oh, I like those ones" I turn around and see him eyeing off the Sunliners...! By the time I had said hi, it was getting dark, so quickly snapped away, hence the quality of pics. The rewarding bit was that whilst i was drooling over the vans, half the campers were doing the same to my Standard! I'm chuffed! Pity it can't tow its own little van... Oh, and so far, one casualty. The Roadmaster proved too much for its modern tow car, which has to remain in Flinders until the local Ford dealer in Hastings can get some new valve lifters for it, so Reddo, they will still be there on the weekend if you come through.. Humpty also wanted me to blow you a fibreglass raspberry Cheers Chris

hi Minicamper Love the photos I see that sometime in the future when the Olympic is finished I'll have to bite the bullet and do a run to one of these gatherings. Love all the glass in this one. Give me Glass lots of Glass Don't fence me in....... fences are made of wood aren't they? Even Reddo has gotten class in glass this time. ;D Is that an FC decked out in maroon? Love the look. This is a great opportunity for all to show off their hard work and dedication to Vintage Vans and classic cars. Happy Holidays to you all I'm off for a three day mini holiday as of today so see you all next week or there after. Atog Beauty is only skin deep but ugly goes right to the bone. As does jealousy boy am I jealous. ;D ;D

Hi all, I was lucky enough to spend the last two nights with the "Meander's" and the great ocean road didn't claim anymore victims!! Everyone got away about 9am from Apollo Bay heading to Warrnambool. Spoke to Geoff& Jude about 9.30 and they were on their way with a hire car and will be meeting the others this afternoon. Had a brilliant time, will post pictures soon. Cheers, John

Well done minicamper, great pics, oh how i wish Sharon and i could be doin' the run to the Mount, even though we don't know anybody, me thinks it would be a trip of a lifetime! We have just done a week on the Great Ocean Rd [ 3 weeks ago in fact!] but due to family reasons it could not be changed to suit this trip, ah well i guess there is always next year!
Cheers keepthepicscomin' Exocet

G'day G & J,
Pleased you have finally got that there ute of yours sorted out, would have been nice if the first ford joint in Melbourne had spotted the problem first up eh? The NRMA Premium care would have taken care of just about everything then would it not?
Don't let the debt put you off your retirement date mate.
Regards, Cobber.

Hi To All Our Fellow Meanderer's,
This may be a bit late but never mind.
We have received a lot of "Thanks Yous" for organising the Meander, but we would also like to thank everyone that joined us.
We booked all the parks site unseen and mostly they were pretty good.
Coledale was perfect as only Coledale can be, Bermagui & Lakes Entrance worked out well, all nice & close. The owners of Flinders went out of their way to get us all power, bad luck we shorted the fuses a couple of times & the shower block was like something out of Psycho, but I think we all had fun. It was great to meet Brendan, Jack, John & Minicamper.
As you all know we missed Apollo Bay, but Warrnambool was a great night & we finally caught up with Mr & Mrs Gristy & the girls. It was great to roll into camp & find Cobber & Yvonne had joined us. Then onto the Mount.
Along the way we had some great "Happy Hours" with much beer & bulls#*t, we met some new people which is always great and as a group everyone helped everyone out in times of need.
We had people driving 30 mins each way to fetch petrol for others, unlimited offers of help when we were in trouble, a big thank you to John for your offer of help. Thanks to Dennis & Sue for picking us up when the car broke down again , thanks to Will for the lift to the T&T ball when we were stranded at the park & the list goes on.
This is what Vintage Vanning is about & we look forward to the next run so we can catch up with old friends & meet many more new people.
Jude & Geoff
