Gem, Quick, quick, out there are chase it. We need details... Oh, alright then, I need details... ;D ;D ;D On a (relatively serious note ) are you able to tell us more about it? Was it a leadlight window van? Colour? Size (small/big)? We can then put it on the register and maybe one day identify it. Apologies to those who see 'Don-itis' as being akin to swine flu! Just remember that you should always treat those with an illness or some other unfortunate affliction with kindness. ;D ;D ;D Don Ricardo

It had lead light windows . It was beige and cream in colour and had the don sticker on the back. I would say it was not the largest Don I have seen or the smallest, I was parked waiting to move into traffic when it went past so I got more of a rear view than a side view. Hope it helps a bit. Gem

Hi Gem, Thanks for the further information. I thought maybe it was a Don we didn't know about, but as Firefighter has been able to tell us it turns out it belongs to a forum contributor Raymar who is currently traveling in WA. The van has had a paint job since the photo in the link posted by Firefighter. I last saw it at Cora Lyn last October when it looked like this: So I think the colours match your description? You commented: "I would say it was not the largest Don I have seen or the smallest" - and you were quite right. It's a 12 ft model, so it was neither the largest or the smallest. A nice piece of observation on your part! Good to see the V V's getting out and about and flying the flag! Don Ricardo

:)Hi all, The1952 Don travelled over 10,000km on the trip to WA behind our 1985 Landcruiser Sahara. The Don travelled very well. With a little stone damage on the 300k on gravel roads. We travelled with 3 other couples with 17ft pop tops, but our van was the most roomy for entertaining. One remarked, "you have a cupboard for everything". We attended a truck show at Avondale Research Farm Beverley and got lots of admirers, with many saying they had caravans under restoration. We caught up with Mark and inspected his nice caravans and tow vehicles. All in all a fantastic trip. Cheers Raymar

Very nice to see another Don 120 with a different colour sceme , (mine is now coloured White Birch, an antique cream not so far from original), good to see a different layout inside too, upgraded light fittings, and the tail light fittings. I notice the clearance lights have been eliminated. 10000 k's is quite a trip, lots of modern vans probably dont get that much of a workout in their entire lives ;D She's a beauty Surf tragic
