Hi all,Derk is the name and I'm out in West Gippsland, was told about VV by a good friend, you may know of them Don257 (Doug & Vicki)we have known each other for some years now through our car club.
First off I would like to commend everyone here on their Vantastic restos , I've seen Doug's collection and a few others at a local car show but am blown away by some of the vans I've seen here on this site, I would like to build myself a teardrop in the near future but I am worried that it may not end there.
So far I have been lucky with the boss and have not been thrown out on my ear, she seems to be okay with me building a T-drop but I first need to clear up some other projects around the house which I am sure you can all relate to.
These projects mainly revolve around cars (what else) if your gunna have a van you'll need something to tow it with no?you see my problem is I seem to have at least one thing or maybe two no make that three things on the go at once l'll post some pics when l've worked it out, l have this completed FJ sedan with a half cut FJ ute tub made into a trailer which has stalled the work on my FJ ute for the moment but in the mean time l'll keep myself busy collecting bits and pieces that l will be needing for the FJ panel van that needs rebuilding, now somewhere in there l might just be able to slot in a teardrop do you think the missus will notice? ;D , where do I keep all this stuff you ask well some of it will live in the new shed that I've started building oh dear that makes four things on the go, (note to one self, stop starting new stuff) in the meantime however l'll sit back and admire all the hard work put in by you guys.
Cheers Derk & Vicki.
