You'll like this one C-Q it really is in exceptional nick and never even had a cassette player added , just the original AM radio - not that it was needed but it was fully resprayed about 5 yrs ago as well . I would imagine that if kingswoods were getting thin on the ground then a good belmont must be like rocking horse sh#t !!! They were no where near as popular being the base model Jeff

I am pleased to say that the Q will be arriving tomorrow. Problem is I have to shuffle the the EH, VV and a Lister 3hp hopper cooled Sunshine corn drifter around so I can fit the it in the shed! Its going to more resemble a rubics cube by the time I am finished!! Jennison Pics to follow and correction to my original posting - Kendalls looking good!!

A previous workmate had a Belmont 3 spd V8 sedan and regretted selling it. Good to see it has come back to you and better still it's a wagon. A few years ago I missed out on my Uncle's HQ sedan that he had since new. I may be a Ford man (and Hillman) but there is something about the old HQs. Rollydog

Very very neat and the Belmonts are certainly more rare than the Kingswood. Rollydog

Well. I have identified a number of things to be repaired/rectified on the ol girl. No 1 is tighten the manifold gaskets - I can't hear a leak but its fumy as hell in front. Tailgate has been dropped on the tow coupling as well so some repairs there. Apart from that a repair to the steering wheel/collar/bearing, change the shag pile white house carpet for the real thing or better yet a rubber mat -Anyone know of an aftermarket holden rubber mat supplier? and refit an original AM radio to the dash. Longer term I will fit the HZ rear stabilizer to the HZ salisbury diff it has in the rear end and also the front one as well. If I can find a couple more rims I think I will fit 6' rims to it as opposed to the 5'' originals its had since new for that bit of extra grip and stability. Nothing serious and she'll be right for Kiama. jennison

If I can find one. Current one is off an HZ by the looks - dunno where it came from. Gave it a polish today and it makes a big difference. I've got a GTS am radio which I will stick in the ute(it has a GTS dash) and put the std am in the wagon. Unfortunately bro in law swapped original am for an am/fm Jsnnison
