Hi all, A friend spotted this combination at Killarney, just near Warrnambool last weekend. I'm uncertain of the tow vehicle, perhaps someone can help? Max

Hi Max, Can't help you with identifying the car, but I can tell you where they were going to, or where they were coming from... The Vintage Van weekend at Old Dadswells Bridge! The car and teardrop can be seen in the pics of the weekend that appear near the end of this thread. Pretty smooth rig though... Don Ricardo

Hi Max,
Its a Ford Tourer, I think a 1933 , but it could be a 1934. I find these two models difficult to distinguish apart, as the only major visible differences on hot rodded versions are the grille & bonnet. This one doesnt appear ( to me ) to have a factory bonnet, & may have been fitted with the different year grille also.
Since Kaybee doesnt say a lot on the forum any more, I guess my ID is as close as you will get.

Hi Max,
I've just discovered the tourer is a 1934, with genuine steel body & all original panels.
Sorry for the misinformation.

;D Here is some useless trivia..... See the mudgaurds on the TD ..... The history behind them.... Started life as spare wheel covers on Mitsubishi Pajeros. Was thrown out on the local Kerbside junk pick up in Highcross st , Barnsley - October 2008. Was spotted by 2 persons on the east coast tour while heading to one of the said persons residence to unload Army Norton from back of Chev ute while other vintage vanners where dining at Holmseville Hotel. Covers where transported to Victoria and then offered for sale at a swap meet. Covers where purchased at swapmeet by TD constructor and modified to suit purpose intended i.e: mudgaurds. TD spotted at Warrnambool by Max and photographed... Photos posted here recognised by persons who conveyed covers to Vic and recognise car and TD, Same persons alerted me to Maxs' pix this morning... unfknblevrbl Thats the whole truth, nothing but the truth , so help me god. Reddoldcovers ;D

Hi all,
JBJ, thanks for your prompt advice that it's a 1934 Tourer.
Reddo, I loved your story, of just what a small world it is! Thank you also for the great tip in using Pajero wheelcovers for my TD Mudguards.
I never cease to be amazed of all the help that is so freely given by all, to all, on this forum.
