Hi all, Back from my afternoon visit at the park, my first at a get together of V V's and was warmly welcomed by all there, sadly though I forgot my camera (something I do often) but there were many photos taken by others so I'm sure some of these will be uploaded soon, the weather was fine and the kids there were encouraged by the park staff to train for a Circus which became the afternoon entertainment, there was talk of vans for my benefit with one or two suggestions on modifications for my trailer to make it more camping friendly Hmmmm!!!!

Well thats Drouin out of the way.
Late Friday we had a dash down the freeway with the Sportsman following obediently behind so we could arrive in time for Dinner at the Hotel. On arrival at the park we were told to put the TD in the sheltered site just in case of bad weather. (apparently the on site van normally there was away for a few weeks). A good spot to be considering what was to come!
Saturday the weather was brilliant as was the company. Thanks to all who came along, especially the day visitors, it was terrific to see you and spend some quality V V time together. The childrens Circus was a hoot, lots of fun had by all present, even a certain chap in a black hat who copped a (shaving cream) pie in the face for his trouble.
Due to the forecast of high winds the bonfire was cancelled, and if you saw the pictures of them fighting the recent bushfires you would understand their reluctance to try that on again. A fire bucket was found and thanks to those who brought along some firewood we enjoyed a pleasant night of V V hospitality.
Around 10pm the wind did indeed pick up and by the very early hours of Sunday morning we were experiencing a howling gale. Most of us got very little sleep that night and all agreed to pack up and go home as soon as possible. Silly old me was going to get some photos of everyone on Sunday but most people were already packing up so I got none. Thanks to Peter and Erica (Highway and Budgie) for the photos already posted, I believe there may be some more coming.
Next year the park has its 120th birthday and the owners are planning a weekend of celebrations. It was suggested we go back again for this, so I have spoken to them and they will keep us informed of dates, etc.
Cant wait For Cora Lynn so we can do it all again.
Cheers, Leigh and Karon.

Hi leigh, thanks to you and karon for the Droiun weekend we had a great time catching up with old and new friends. The trip home sunday was fun...the wind being gale force meant the van was wandering just a bit... got her home ok eventually. We do have some more photos but Lil is having trouble with photobucket, we,ll keep trying dave
