Hi Dorian, The ad flashes by fairly quickly, so I have had to watch it a few times before making comment. It looks like a Big Beautiful Bondy on the left and a Sunliner on the right. I don't know who the Sunliner belongs to but I'm certain that I have seen photos of the Big Beautiful Bondy somewhere on the forum. The colour scheme is similar to John and Lynne's van from Samford in QLD. Perhaps someone else may recognise it. Regards Di

You're right about them flashing by , Di, but I think they are both Sunliners. IMHO Whatever they are, they're cute ;D ;D Ray

Thanks for that link G & J I hadn't seen the add (I usually look the other way when adds come on)
So who owns the 'vans and where is the pub... looks a bit like the Taralga pub to me.
Cobber.
OK... so it's not the Taralga pub (I just had a look) but I'm sure I've had a sarsaparilla in it wherever it is.
Cobber.

Hi Cobber,
I'm pretty sure the pub is the Tarago pub, between Goulburn & Braidwood. I've had a LOT of lemon squashes at that pub when I worked at Woodlawn Mines back in the late 70's.
I think the bondy could be Sugarshacks 14' Purdon, but maybe its not.
The Sunliner has non opening front side windows & non wrap around rear windows, is a later series. Dont recollect seeing it before, but could have.
Passed 2 old vans on the Highway near Ballina yesterday, a late Sunliner in white, with mid green factory style flash & spare wheel mounted at rear, & a bondwood sided alloy roofed van.
Great to see them out being used.
JBJ

Good on you Den, I think you're right on both counts.... I thought the pub was down near Goulburn and started with a "T" .... hard to remember after a weekend at the Bungendore country music festival..... and that could be sugarshacks "Purdon"... he has the same agent I've got so it should be my turn to star next Cobber.

My apologies Di, looks like you don't have to run out and check your glasses. Seem I need to do that instead Would have thought the prez of the Bondy club would have twigged to that sooner!!! Ray

Hi Geoff, Thanks for that. I was really starting to think that I had vision trouble if I couldn't tell the difference between a beloved bondwood and a sunliner. Thanks also for the link. It's good to have a look at the ad, especially as you can pause it and study the scene properly. Yes I agree the bondwood van does look like sugarshack's. Come on Wayne - now is confession time - do we need to start calling you Hollywood Sugarshack?? Regards Di

Hi all, Well picked JBJ - it does look like the bondy is Sugarshack's Purdon. Apart from the distinctive livery, the two little lights above the door on Sugarshack's van are also quite distinctive (at least I think they are lights?). You can see them in the pic in Cobber's post on the Purdon thread in the DHL section, and also in the Digital TV advert if you pause it when the two vans show. Don Ricardo
