Hi Greg. Have they got to be HR specifically?? All Holdens from 1956 to 1971 had the same stud pattern as HR Holdens. The HR's had a slightly different offset to clear the disc brake calipers. Just sumising that your wind up van has not got disc brakes or maybe no brakes at all.........so ..... I have a yard full of standard 13" holden rims. Most have tyres on them in varying condition. You make the effort to come up to Newvegas and get em and they are yours for free ;D ;D This service kindly provided by.. Reddotel international .. a non profit organisation. ;D ;D

Thanks for the help guys, I had to bite the bullet today and spend some more cash Turns out the stud pattern I had was actually HQ or early Commondore and not HR as was previously thought. I could not buy or find a 13" rim to suit the hubs I had... So off to the trailer parts supplier I go and 3 brand new rims 13" with HT stud pattern at $75 ea and 2 new HT stud pattern hub kits $90 pr What an expensive hobby! I have'nt even bought the tyres yet I'll wait untill the credit card has stopped smoki'n Cheers Greg

Ummm.. young Gregory,, "Thanks for the help guys, I had to bite the bullet today and spend some more cash Turns out the stud pattern I had was actually HQ or early Commondore and not HR as was previously thought. The "13 rims with HT stud pattern you just bought are the same as the yard full of 13" early holden rims i have here . I have about 4 sets of early holden hubs and bearings..and at least 10....no .. make that 7 ( humpty2 wants 3) rims. all for free... do you want to give yourself and uppercut of do you want me to deliver a few smacks at Katoomba I suppose by the time ya add up what it would cost to come to Newcastle and load up the freebies ya may as well pay for brand new stuff and have peace of mind that its all gunna last for years now.. Just a word of warning ... 13" tyres are getting harder to buy. plenty of places still selling 185/70 X 13" tyres but the wider stuff is getting hard to procure. Hence the Reddo hoardings ;D

Hello Reddo, Yes give me the upper cut now! I did think of that though with the cost of driving to Newcastle and the time involved it was easier! Whilst I was in the parts shop at Katoomba another customer told me he had just thrown a set of those rims to the recyclers The main reason I needed the 13" rims was to get the towing height down below the height of my tow vehicle... It now sits at 54" high when folded down and tows level so it's perfect ;D Yes 13" tyres are getting a little hard to get, seems strange as alot of new cars - Hyundai Getz' have 13" rims so hopefully won't be too difficult. Cheers Greg

Its all good mate. Glad to hear your van is sitting at the right height behind your car.. I... ( and i suspect a good few other old farts here on the forum) struggle with the idea that old 13 inch rims are getting hard to come by nowadays. We grew up with the old 15" FJ .. then 13 " from 1956 to 1967 .... 14" '68 to '71 HK/T/G rims.... apparently from what you are saying we are outliving the rims.... ;D ;D ;D Reddo

Reddo,
I noted that you have some 13" Holden wheels available. I could use one for a spare. Model and offset doesn't matter, as long as there are five holes for 7/16" studs on 4 1/4" PCD. No trouble to get to New vegas. I'm in Maitland. geoffc

Camec have new 13inch holden wheels advertised in their latest catalogue most likely not cheap from them
