Great to have everyone there. Have heard a few stories of breakdowns on the way home. My Hunter got a bit hot just towing the teardrop but a few jugs of water over the radiator at Mibi Vics and she got home. The second trip was a bit easier (85 k from my house to the caravan park) as the turbo diesel Patrol and ice cold air con made it a nice cruise. Until i sort the Hunter and next Rapier Fastback the Patrol may be the tow car. I just love my little van after the first weekend of use. Rod G.

OB I put some basic information about the vans you told me about in "sales" section. I am prepared to take trip and get photos for any interested buyers.

G'day all Vintage Vaners. The weekend at Maroochydore was a great success in public relations about www vintagecaravans and our touring heritage. To see the sheer delight of the public when looking over our vans, with some sharing there memory's of caravaning with me.One gentleman came to me and said that the Don Caravan brought back many memory's for him..... and I asked why..... it turned out that his uncle owned and started Flynn Caravans in victoria many years ago and that he worked for his uncle for many years also...he told me about the steam bending of the timber and painting the roofs with a red paint then puting the hessian fabric on, He also said that they manufactured many vans as kit vans.... also had known the legend Mr Keith Winser very well. This would have to have been the high light of my weekend as I love history. Regards Hollywood dosse. PS If anyone still wants a autographed photo of the DON van I still have some left ( about 2ooo copys ) send money orders to me.
