Hi everyone,
I have just bought an old Sunliner (thanks to all the amazing restoration jobs I have been looking at on this site) and was hoping someone would be able to point me in the right direction for a good caravan haulage company in Victoria ( to be moved from Melbourne city fringe to Willaura up near the Grampians). The Sunliner is not towable at the moment so would need to be moved on a flat bed truck. Any feedback would be greatly anticipated (with no doubt many questions on my part to come as I embark on its full restoration).
Loving all you work! Thanks in anticipation!
Gerard

Hi firefighter,
Guilty as charged! Yes I bought the smith gully Sunliner! Now I just need to get it up here to the Grampians. If I could have the number for your friend up there that would be great.
Thanks for your help.
Gerard

hi gerard
in my opinion the sunliner you have bought is one of the best versions of the sunliner range i.e. two fixed windows front and rear, two opening windows each side ,the best wheel opening shape and the delux full fibreglass interior.it was hard to see how good the overall condition was from the photos on ebay.i hope you enjoy the restoration and trips out in the van. i was sorry i missed out getting that van, but i was not looking forward to towing it to w.a.not knowing how good the chassis was. it would have been a 7000km trip there and back.i have had three sunliners so if i can help with info , please pm me.

I don't know a lot about caravans but I do know that this was a good buy, even at the price I did get. The lady I sold it for is much happier with the price Gerard offered. You sounded like a lovely fellow and I would have been happy to sell to you but.... The trip to WA would have been a rigorous one! I reckon she would have made it with a few mods to the lights, some new tyres and a bit of grease in the bearings etc.
