G'day Dave,
My suggestion is that the porthole caravan may possibly be a South Australian Clipper, based on: the front window arrangement, the flattish front wall treatment and the overall shape. Compare them to the little SA Clipper now owned by Sportsman1 and pictured in the DHL SA Clipper thread.
The windows on Sportsman1's van have four rounded corners, whereas the van you photographed only has rounded corners on the bottom of the windows, but that may just be an evolutionary change in design.
I think from your photos that the van you saw may also have the little lip at floor level at front and back which seems to have been a feature of SA Clippers.
That's my suggestion anyway.

Does the shape of the wheel arches, position of power outlet & ali trim over front painted flash give any further indications to its origin? Just my 2c worth. cheers gordon
