Hi Everyone, I have made tentative booking at the Stringer Road CP, Blairgowrie, for the 27th and 28th of February. The caravan park is right on the foreshore, and we have been booked in a section together, with the amenities block within our confines. There has also been a very generous offer made by Winterwood to gather at his residence on the Saturday for a bbq, which we would like to thank him for. If you are interested, please let me know, and I will make a definite booking. I need to let the CP know whithin the week, and they will require a deposit. Regards Impala

Hi Leigh, I will do a defininate booking this week with the park, but I think that maybe everyone should book their own site, and say they are with the VVans, as the park would like a deposit. It is the Stringer Road CP, they have said it is $30 per night, but it might go down to $25 for a group booking, they will let me know when I book. The sites are all powered. You can have a look at the site map on www.foreshore.net.au then click on Whitecliffs, camping and Stringer Road. The phone number for the CP is 0359853288 or 0439853288, they are there between 11.00am and 3.00pm Monday - Friday. Hope this helps Impala

Hi all,
Great to see a few Victorian events being planned for 2009, and well done Impala for getting things rolling for Blairgowrie.
Unfortunately we are in the same position as Don257 - we're moving in the early part of the year so won't be a starter at this stage. The first thing I've got to get organised at the new place is an additional garage for the Don...first things first...forget about getting sorted out inside the house!! ;D ;D ;D

Hi Guys, Blairgowrie is booked, and the CP have given us a group booking discount, so it is now $25.00 per night, but, they have requested that the site be paid for in full, by either cheque or credit card, as thay will make things a lot easier for them. When you call to make a booking, please ask for Ingrid. To Don R. we are also moving, and have had lots of problems so far with regard to it , but we are still going ::)Its only two nights guys Impala

Hi, Impala, We are new to the group and new to vintage vaning. Have been camping in a tent until now, when my husband, Peter, bought an old "Hayghway" caravan a few weeks ago. It was a real mess when I first saw it, but Peter has made it reasonbly liveable and nice inside. We would love to meet with other Vintage Vaners and learn more about restorations and fun trips. We are booking our site at the CP, and hope we are welcome to join the group.
Vans are made to see Australia, Budgie

Hi, Everyone, Thank you for the welcome. It will be wonderful to meet some of the members in person. Firefighter, I was too much in a hurry to post the message. Only saw the spelling mistake after I posted. Did not take the time to "spellcheck" Impala, For all I know we could be neighbours. We live in Korumburra, the heart of South Gippsland. When I work out how, I will post a few pictures of our "Highway"

Hi All, First off, thanks to those who have booked to go to Blairgowrie, looking forward to having a great weekend with you all. Now, an update. The bbq on the Saturday nite at Winterwoods, is a BYO everything. And, I would appreciate some comments regarding Friday nite, at this stage, the plan is to have dinner at either, a restaurant [not too dear], a pub or the RSL, then go on the the cinema [which is very close] or the drive in. Please let me know your preferences. Thank you Impala

Hi guys,
Friday night at the pub or RSL sounds good, whichever has good tucker at reasonable cost.
Not too sure about the cinema but I would love to go to the drive in depending on what is showing, especially if the night is warm and I have the Vagabond running.
Thanks to Winterwood for the offer of the venue for a bbq on Saturday night, sounds fab.
cheers, Leigh.

Hi all, A few of us can't make the weekend away to Blairgowrie as it clashes with the Holden Day at Flemington on the 1st March. Hope you all have a great time. Cheers, Tony.
