Hi Bob, Interesting little jigger, isn't it? The lift up roof panel over the kitchen is a neat idea, although it doesn't add to the van's good looks when it's up. Only 4 1/2 cwt and a smaller one at 2 cwt! The Brits obviously pursued the idea of a motorcycle drawn caravan a bit. There is a You Tube clip somewhere on the forum showing a fold-down caravan made to be towed by a motorscooter. The clip shows the scooter happily towing the van. By the look of it the scooter van would only have been big enough to contain a double bed, whereas the Dainty has a kitchen, two bunks and a wet coat cupboard! A couple of things tickled me. One was that it was built by the Dinky Caravan Co. I thought Dinky built toy cars - looks like toy caravans as well. The second was that the van was lined with asbestos sheeting. Sounds fantastic... Nice article. Thanks for sharing it. Don Ricardo
